The invention relates to a method for preparing a drink by mixing water and a fluid additive within an individual hydration device, comprising a mixing chamber (4) provided with a first inlet (5) connected to a water reservoir, a second inlet (6) connected to a fluid additive reservoir and an outlet (7) for delivering the mixture of the water and the fluid additive wherein the mixing of the water and the additive is carried out by the sucking of the user on the individual device at the outlet from the mixing chamber, thus delivering the drink to the user.
