Abstract
A safety lockout hasp for interaction with equipment, infrastructure, machinery, appliances, tools, implements and the like. The hasp comprising a body, a cable for engaging the plant and a movable member being movable relative to the body between an open condition and a closed condition. The movable member interacting with the cable such that in the closed condition an intermediate portion of the cable is secured in its position relative to the body. The movable member also interacts with the body such that in use in the closed condition the hasp can accommodate a plurality of locking elements so that the hasp is prevented from disengagement from the plant when accommodating at least one of the plurality of locking elements, and when the movable member is in the open condition the hasp is prevented from accommodating any of the locking elements.

Abstract
A lock includes a bolt having latching and unlatching positions, and a locking component having a locking position in which the bolt is prevented from moving from the latching position to the unlatching position, and an unlocking position in which the locking component does not prevent the bolt from moving. A lock cylinder includes a cam having unlocking and deadlocking positions. A deadlocking component has a disengaging position in which the deadlocking component does not prevent the locking component from moving from its locking position to its unlocking position; and when the locking component is in its locking position, an engaging position in which the deadlocking component prevents the locking component from moving. When the cam is in its unlocking position, the locking component is in its unlocking position and a deadlocking component is in its disengaging position, and conversely when the cylinder cam is in its deadlocking position.

Abstract
This invention relates to a lock assembly (1) including a housing (2) and a latch bolt (3) that is moveable between an extended and retracted position under the influence of a biasing means (7). A retainer means (29) is adjustable between a first position, second position and third position. The retainer means (29) prevents movement of the latch bolt (3) from the retracted position when in first position, and does not prevent movement of the latch bolt (3) from the retracted position when in a second or third position. The retainer means (29) achieves a function often referred to as a whole back function.

Abstract
This invention relates to a mortice lock assembly (1) including a housing (2) with a bolt (15) moveable relative to the housing. The bolt (15) is moveable on operation of an inner hub (29) or outer hub (30). Rotation of either the inner hub (29) or outer hub (30) is controlled by an inner detent (33) and outer detent (34) respectively which form part of a locking means. A selector (20) is operable from the front face of the housing for selecting the condition of the inner detent (33) or outer detent (34). The arrangement of the mortice lock simplifies the process of adjusting the functionality of the mortice lock.

Abstract
A mortice lock is disclosed which has a lock casing which provides a first point of entrapment and a second point of entrapment, a latch bolt which can move between a latching position and an unlatching position, a handle for moving the latch bolt between the latching position and the un-latching position, a key cylinder, an operating assembly and a locking member. The operating assembly can move between a first position in which a deflectable portion of the operating assembly engages with the first point of entrapment and a second position in which the deflectable portion engages with the second point of entrapment. Only the key cylinder can move the operating assembly between the first position and the second position. The locking member (which is not a shoot bolt or part thereof) can move between a locking position in which a portion of the locking member engages with the latch bolt to prevent the latch bolt from moving into the un-latching position, and an unlocking position in which the latch bolt can move into the un-latching position. The locking member is operatively associated with the operating assembly such that moving the operating assembly into the first position moves the locking member into the unlocking position and moving the operating assembly into the second position moves the locking member into the locking position.

Abstract
This invention relates to a mortice lock assembly (1) including a housing (2) and a bolt (3), movable relative to the housing by a handle operated actuator (6). The actuator includes an inner and outer hub (7, 8) which may be locked by operation of a detent (12). A handing selector means (21) is operable from a front of the housing (2), for rendering either of the inner or outer hubs (7, 8) inoperable.

Abstract
A lock for a sliding wing comprising a lock tongue movable between a locking position and an unlocking position to lock and unlock the wing respectively, an operating component which can engage with the lock tongue, the operating component being movable between a first position and a second position wherein movement of the operating component into the first position causes the lock tongue to adopt the unlocking position and movement of the operating component into the second position causes the lock tongue to adopt the locking position, a snib operatively associated with the operating component such that the operating component can be moved between the first and second positions by moving the snib, a drive component that can engage with the operating component and which is movable between a lock opening position, a lock closing position and a deadlocking position, wherein movement of the drive component into the lock opening position causes the operating component to adopt the first position, movement of the drive component into the lock closing position causes the operating component to adopt the second position, and movement of the drive component into the deadlocking position causes the operating component to be held in the second position so that the operating component cannot be moved from the second position to the first position by the snib.

Abstract
An actuator assembly (1) for use as part of a lock assembly (2). The actuator assembly (1) includes an inner drive means (thumb turn 1 1) and an outer drive means (cylinder lock 18) operable to rotate a driven means (15). A clutch device (15, 24, 14) includes a detent (24) to provide a driving interaction between the thumb turn and the driven means. If the thumb turn is held fixed and the driven means is rotated, the detent will disengage and the clutch will slip enabling the cylinder lock to be turned independently of the thumb turn.
