Abstract

The sealing system for oscillating-piston engines, comprising at least two oscillating pistons (15) which revolve together in a spherical housing (24) about an axis (45) of revolution provided in the housing centre and which each have two opposite piston arms, which, when revolving, perform reciprocating oscillating movements in opposite directions about an oscillation axis (46) perpendicular to the axis (45) of revolution, wherein guide members (47) are provided on at least two pistons, said guide members (47) engaging in at least one guide groove (39) formed in the housing (24) for controlling the oscillating movements, has sealing elements (1, 2, 12, 14, 26, 33) on or in the vicinity of all moving edges surrounding the working chambers (17) and prechambers (30), which sealing elements (1, 2, 12, 14, 26, 33) close in a sealing manner all the gap regions present between machine parts displaced relative to one another by revolving and/or oscillating movements and not in direct contact, and has additional sealing elements (60) which prevent the excessive penetration of lubricating fluid into inlet (40) and outlet openings (41) in the housing (24).

Abstract

The fluid system is intended for an oscillating-piston engine (100) which has at least two double-armed oscillating pistons (4) arranged in a spherical housing (19) and revolving together about an axis (23) of revolution arranged in the housing centre, wherein the oscillating pistons, when revolving, mutually perform reciprocating oscillating movements about an oscillation axis (24) perpendicular to the axis (23) of revolution, and guide members (5) attached to at least two pistons (4) engage in at least one guide groove (17) formed in the housing (19) and serving to control the oscillating movements. The fluid system (70) comprises at least one central feed opening (1), lying in the vicinity of an end of the axis (23) of revolution, for a fluid, continuous cavities and/or bores (10) in the pistons (4) for the fluid, and a fluid discharge on the outer side (3) of the respective piston. A rotation of the pistons (4) about the axis (23) of revolution causes a pressure difference which acts as suction at the feed opening (1) and as pressure in the discharge region (16) and thus makes possible a pumpless fluid system or a fluid system which needs only a low supply pressure. The fluid system serves, for example, to lubricate the oscillating-piston engine (100) and - when fuel is used as the fluid - can be supplied with fluid from a fuel tank together with a fuel supply and with cooling of the oscillating-piston engine.

Abstract

An oscillating piston engine according to the invention with valveless antechamber charging comprises at least two oscillating pistons (3, 4) which are arranged in a substantially spherical housing (1) and rotate together about a rotational axis (2) which is arranged centrally in the housing, which oscillating pistons (3, 4) have in each case two pistons (5-8) which are situated substantially diametrically opposite one another about the housing centre and are fixedly connected to one another and which, during rotation, perform inverse reciprocating oscillating movements about a pivot axis (9) which is perpendicular to the rotational axis (2). In order to control said oscillating movements, guide elements (26) are attached to at least 2 pistons (5-8), which guide elements (26) engage for this purpose in at least one guide groove (10) which is formed in the housing, and, during the rotation about the rotational axis (2), inversely open and close antechambers (17, 18) and working chambers (13, 14). The antechambers (17, 18) are, during the opening process, aerated from the outside via intake openings (19, 19a), and during the closing process, communicate by means of transfer ducts (21) and an inlet slot (22) in each case with an opening working chamber (13, 14) which is thereby charged with compressed fluid as a result of the double displacement volume of the antechambers (17, 18).

Abstract

The invention relates to a disk brake (1) which comprises a brake disk ring (2) which is made of brittle material. Said brake comprises, in said ring, receiving holes (18) for lowering rivets (3) and a particular shaping about said holes (19). Said brake also comprises an inner rim (4) which is made of high-grade steel or other similar material, which is riveted to the brake disk ring (2), and which is elastic and comprises star-shaped flat spokes (20), and an intermediate ring (6) which is made of a light metal or similar material which is riveted or screwed to said rim. Said ring can be machined, for the purpose of lag-freedom, parallel to the disk ring surface (13) and adapted to the connection by screwing or riveting (7).
