Abstract
The subject of the invention is a method for recovering radioactive nuclides and/or heavy metals fixed in lignocellulosic masses, notably crusts from filter cartridges, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: the lignocellulosic masses laden with radioactive nuclides and/or heavy metals are placed in a "deep bed" chamber, this raw material is heated to a temperature of at least 450°C in the absence of oxygen, in order to achieve a pyrolysis reaction; the pyrolysis ash containing the radioactive nuclides and/or heavy metals is processed; the gases emanating from the pyrolysis reaction are continuously processed. The invention also covers embodiments of the device.
IPC Classes ?
- G21F 9/32 - Processing by incineration
- B01D 53/64 - Heavy metals or compounds thereof, e.g. mercury

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for treating a lignocellulosic substrate for the adsorption of radionuclides in fluids loaded with radionuclides, characterised in that it comprises the following steps comprising: preparing the divided lignocellulosic material by rinsing and grain-size grading; subjecting the lignocellulosic material to oxidation; activating the material by means of acid treatment; and rinsing. Specifically, the oxidation is a Fenton reaction. The invention also relates to the use of lignocellulosic material treated by this method.

Abstract
The invention relates to a detector (20) for detecting radon and the decay products thereof in the surrounding air, including in particular aerosols, characterised in that it comprises: a silicon pellet having a PN junction with a deserted area, for transmitting signals under the action of the radiation generated by radon and said decay products; a passivation layer (22) covering said silicon pellet and enabling the operation of said detector in open air; and a conducting layer (24) covering the passivation layer and defining a radionuclide collecting electrode. The invention also relates to a detection device including said detector.
IPC Classes ?
- G01T 1/14 - Electrostatic dosimeters
- G01T 1/178 - Circuit arrangements not adapted to a particular type of detector for measuring specific activity in the presence of other radioactive substances, e.g. natural, in the air or in liquids such as rain-water
