Abstract

A wire-rod and the like, hot-rolling machine (1) wherein the two rollers (6) are fitted on respective frustoconical end portions (4a) of as many counter-rotating supporting shafts (4), via interposition of corresponding centring and coupling bushings (7) having a frustoconical internal profile, each of which is fitted on the end portion (4a) of a, respective supporting shaft (4), between the supporting shaft (4) and the corresponding roller (6), and is structured so as to mesh on the supporting shaft (4) so as to be angularly integral to said supporting shaft (4), and so as to be inserted/wedged between the supporting shaft (4) and the roller (6) thus to centre the roller (6) on the supporting shaft (4) and moreover make the roller (6) angularly integral to the body of the supporting shaft (4); each centring and coupling bushing (7) being provided with an annular flange (11) having an eccentric lobe-shaped profile and which cantilevered projects from the outer surface of the bushing (7), at one of the two mouths of the central through hole (6a) of the roller (6), and is designed to engage a corresponding annular groove (6b) with eccentric lobe-shaped profile which is formed on the body of the roller (6) at the mouth of the roller central through hole (6a), and has a shape complementary to that of the annular flange (11).

Abstract

Wire-rod hot-rolling machine (1) which comprises a plurality of roller- provided rolling units (2) which are arranged one after the other along the wire-rod feeding paths (p); the roller-provided rolling unit (2) being formed by a plurality of rolling-mills assemblies (3) each of which is provided with a pair of opposite, counter-rotating rolling mill rollers (4), which are arranged parallel and adjacent each other; said rolling- mills assemblies (3) being arranged one beside the other, coplanar to a corresponding reference plane locally perpendicular to the feeding paths (p), each at the feeding path (p) of a respective wire rod (b), and are oriented so that the rotation axes (R) of the rolling mill rollers (4) of the various rolling- mills assemblies (3) are locally parallel to one another while intersecting the lying plane of the feeding paths (p) of the wire rods with an inclination angle (3) greater than 5° and smaller than 85°.

Abstract

A hot-rolling machine (1) for wire rods and the like which comprises a number of rolling units (2) that are arranged in cascaded to one after another along the wire-rod feeding path (p) so that each rolling unit (2) can plastically deform the high-temperature wire rod (b) that moves along said path (p); each rolling unit (2) being provided with: a rolling stand (3) that is arranged on the wire-rod feeding path (p) and is provided with two counter-rotating and opposed milling rollers (4) that are arranged one beside the other, locally substantially parallel and substantially tangent to one another so as to form/delimit a rolling groove or throttling (4a), through which the wire rod (b) to be hot-rolled is forced to pass; and a mechanical gear reduction unit (5), which is arranged beside the rolling stand (3) and is structured so as to be able to drive simultaneously in rotation the two rolls (4) about the respective longitudinal axes (L); the mechanical gear reduction unit (5) of each rolling unit (2) being structured so as to form, with the corresponding rolling stand (3), a single sectional elementary module (2) that is structured for being aligned with other similar sectional elementary modules (2), along the wire-rod feeding path (p) and for being mechanically coupled to the immediately adjacent sectional elementary modules (2), in so as to compose/form a catenary of rolling units (2 which are reciprocally connected so as to transmit torque in cascade from one another.
