Abstract

The invention relates to a treatment device (1) for a device (2) for producing shock waves (4) that are especially suitable for medical use. Said device comprises a housing (3), in which the device (2) for producing shock waves (4) is arranged, a focusing device (5) in which the housing (3) is inserted and which is sealed from the exterior in a liquid-tight manner by a membrane (10), a bellows structure or the like, a liquid (6) with which the focusing device (5) is filled and which encloses the device (2) for producing shock waves (4), and a conduit (7) through which the liquid (6) can be supplied to and discharged from the focusing device (5). The aim of the invention is to allow gases which naturally occur in the water or gas which is produced by the shock wave production to be chemically bound or to be reconverted to water. For this purpose it is e.g. necessary that as few water molecules as possible escape from the water circuit and are therefore present as reactants for the oxygen molecules for producing water. This aim is achieved by connecting the conduit (7) to a container (11) in which the liquid (6) can be chemically degassed in such a manner that the oxygen molecules (17) present in the liquid (6) react with hydrogen molecules (16) to form water (6) or react with a reducing agent.

Abstract

The invention relates to a device (1) for producing shock waves (2), especially for medical use. Said device comprises a housing (3), being penetrable to the shock waves (2), at least one pair of electrodes (4), arranged in the interior of the housing (3), between which respective voltages for producing shock waves (2) can be adjusted, and a liquid (5), surrounding the electrodes (4) and consisting entirely or partially of a plurality of water molecules (H2O). The aim of the invention is to substantially improve the efficiency and the service life of the device (1). For this purpose, the production of hydrogen, oxygen and hydroxide ions between the electrode tips (4) is not impeded. More specifically, the aim of the invention is to provide a device (1) which prevents hydrogen (6) from escaping, which stores it and allows its complete back reaction to water molecules.

Abstract

The invention relates to a focusing system (11) for a device (1) for producing shock waves (2), said system being arranged downstream from the device and being able to orientate the shock waves. The aim of the invention is to administer the traction and pressure waves which are superimposed prior to be transversed by the reflected or bundled shock waves (2) by the focusing system (11). As a result, the focusing system (11) comprises a plurality of reflection mirrors (14), wherein, respectively, a secondary component (4) of the shock wave (2) is associated, the reflection mirrors (14) can be oriented towards the respective location, angle position and/or curving such that the components (3) of the shock wave (2), which are oriented towards said mirror, are reflected on different deviated focus points (15) and that all of the focus points (15) of the secondary components (4) are arranged on a common focus line (16).
