Abstract

The invention relates to a leather sheet material, and a method of producing the same which allows the sheet material to be relatively light in weight and be sufficiently hard wearing so as to be usable on upholstered items to form the outer face thereof. This allows the wear of the items with the better material to be maintained but the weight of the items, and the carriers of the items, such as aircraft, to be reduced in comparison to conventional items.
