Abstract

The invention relates to a device (2) for cleaning exhaust air, comprising an exhaust air channel (4), in which a motor-driven filter drum (6) is arranged, an outer shell (8) of which is permeable to air on the circumferential side and an axis of rotation (10) of which extends transversely to the exhaust air channel (4), wherein a liquid basin is arranged on the bottom side of the filter drum (6), in which liquid basin the filter drum (6) is partially immersed, and the filter drum (6) entrains liquid from the liquid basin (12) during a rotary motion, which liquid returns downward into the liquid basin (12) from a higher position. Filling bodies are arranged in the filter drum (6), which filling bodies rotate through the liquid basin (12) with the filter drum (6), and the filling bodies have a spatial shape in the case of which air flow channels necessarily remain open between adjacent filling bodies when adjacent filling bodies lie against each other, through which air flow channels the exhaust air can flow.
