A dispensing closure (40) for a squeeze-type container produces a fantype spray in a low pressure environment. The dispensing closure (40) includes a closure body (46) having an upper deck and a skirt depending from the upper deck. The skirt is configured and arranged to attach to a product container, such as a squeeze-type container. A flow conduit (50) extends from an interior of the closure body and through the upper deck to provide a flow path from an interior of the closure (40) to an exterior of the closure (40). The flow conduit (50) has an entrance orifice and an exit orifice (48). The flow conduit (50) has an inner wall extending between the entrance orifice and the exit orifice. The flow conduit (50) and the closure body (46) are integrally formed. The flow conduit includes a tip portion with an exit orifice (48).
B05B 1/04 - Nozzles, spray heads or other outlets, with or without auxiliary devices such as valves, heating means designed to produce a jet, spray, or other discharge of particular shape or nature, e.g. in single drops in flat form, e.g. fan-like, sheet-like
A dispensing closure (400) for a container includes a closure body (410), a cap (412), and a hinge body (414) having a first living hinge (416a) connecting the hinge body (414) to the closure body (410), and a second living hinge (416b) connecting the hinge body (414) to the cap (412). The cap (412) is hingeably movable from an open position to a closed position overlying an upper wall (418) of the closure body (410). A latch bump (436) is also included and may be located on either the closure deck (424) adjacent to the hinge (414) or on the hinge adjacent to the closure deck. A latch bead (44) is formed on the upper wall (428) of the cap (412).
A dispensing closure (10) has a flow conduit (50) that provides a sufficient flow restriction to prevent unwanted spurting of the product when the container is initially opened. The dispensing closure (10) includes a closure body (20) with an upper deck (30) and the flow conduit (50) extending through the upper deck (30). The flow conduit (50) includes an entry orifice (50A) having an entrance axis and an exit orifice (50B) having an exit axis. The entrance axis is offset from the exit axis to provide a non-linear flow path from an interior of the closure (10) to the exterior of the closure (10).
B65D 41/00 - Caps, e.g. crown caps or crown seals, i.e. members having parts arranged for engagement with the external periphery of a neck or wall defining a pouring opening or discharge apertureProtective cap-like covers for closure members, e.g. decorative covers of metal foil or paper
B65D 55/16 - Devices preventing loss of removable closure members
B65D 41/04 - Threaded or like caps or cap-like covers secured by rotation
B65D 51/18 - Arrangements of closures with protective outer cap-like covers or of two or more co-operating closures
B65D 51/20 - Caps, lids, or covers co-operating with an inner closure arranged to be opened by piercing, cutting, or tearing
B65D 43/18 - Non-removable lids or covers pivoted for movement in plane of container mouth

The dispensing closure (10) includes a closure body (20) with an upper deck (30) and a flow conduit (50) extending through the upper deck (30). The flow conduit (50) includes an entry orifice (50A) having an entrance axis and an exit orifice (50B) having an exit axis. The entrance axis is parallel to, but not co-linear with, the exit axis to provide a non¬ linear flow path from an interior of the closure (10) to the exterior of the closure (10).

A dispensing closure (10) for viscous fluids contains a closure body (20), a closure lid (100) and a living hinge structure (110) hingeably connecting the closure lid (100) to the closure body (20). The closure body (20) includes an upper deck (30), a skirt (40) configured and arranged to mount to a product container, and a flow conduit (50) extending through the upper deck (30) to provide a flow path from an interior of the closure (10) to an exterior of the closure (10). The flow conduit (50) includes an entrance orifice (50A) and an exit orifice (SOB), and an inner wall (SOC) extending between the entrance orifice (50A) and the exit office (SOB). To provide the desired flow effect, the inner wall (SOC) includes at least one flow inhibitor structure, such as helically threaded flights (60) extending at least partially inwardly from the inner wall (SOC).
