Abstract

A water treatment apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a mixture flow passage (P0) through which mixed-water (C) obtained by mixing surface water (A) and seawater (B) is delivered; a first water purification unit (L1) for treating the mixed-water (C) which is delivered through a first flow passage (P1), using a receiving well (10), a mixing/coagulation tank (20), a settling tank (30), and a filtering tank (40); a second water purification unit (L2) for treating the mixed-water (C) which is delivered through a second flow passage (P2), using a filter tank (100) and a reverse osmosis membrane tank (200); and a disinfecting tank (50) for treating the mixed-water (C) having been treated in the first water purification unit (L1) and the second water purification unit (L2). When the water treatment apparatus of the present invention is used, the water treatment apparatus can be operated using an existing general water purification facility, and thus it is possible to minimize an initial construction cost. In addition, since a water treatment process can be controlled according to the turbidity of mixed-water or brackish water which includes surface water and seawater mixed with each other, and the concentration of a total dissolved solid (TDS), reasonable and economical water treatment is possible. Especially, since the water treatment method uses mixed-water or brackish water with which seawater is mixed, the water treatment method is effective for coastal areas lacking fresh water.

Abstract

The present invention pertains to a composite girder for bridge construction. More preferably, a girder is formed in a rectangular shape that is horizontally long and opened at the top portion thereof, wherein the girder is convexly curved in the center so as to be formed in the shape of an arc. The girder has a compression section, a web, and a tension section that is integrally composed together; and is filled with concrete inside so as to increase the sectional strength of the girder. Therefore, it is possible to reinforce a support that receives a great shearing stress even without the use of any rebar. Simultaneously, a stopper is formed on the inside surface of the compression section to prevent the separation of the steel materials and the concrete. Therefore, compared with the existing girders, the composite girder of the present invention may be mounted over a noticeably long span. In addition, it is possible to reduce manufacturing costs by minimizing the use of expensive steel reinforcement materials, exhibiting sufficient strength characteristics in spite of a small dead load.

Abstract

Disclosed herein is an apparatus for moving a snorkel in a chemical-heating-in-snorkel (CHIS or CAS-OB) refining facility. The CHIS(CAS-OB) refining facility includes a ladle having a plurality of porous plugs formed in the bottom thereof, a snorkel mounted to an arm vertically movably assembled to a column such that the lower end of the snorkel is deposited in molten steel contained in the ladle, and a blowing lance having a lower end extending into the snorkel, thereby increasing the temperature of the molten steel contained in the ladle. The snorkel moving apparatus includes a snorkel transfer car having wheels mounted at both right and left sides thereof such that the snorkel transfer car can be reciprocated along guides mounted at both right and lefts ends of the arm, the upper part of the snorkel being assembled to the snorkel transfer car, and at least one actuating member, having an operational end thereof connected to one end of the snorkel transfer car, for providing an external force necessary to move the snorkel transfer car forward and backward along the guides. According to the present invention, it is possible to selectively locate the snorkel above one porous plug whose opening state is good, thereby improving the facility operation rate and operation success rate. Therefore, it is possible to exclude the provision of an additional facility due to the poor opening state of the porous plug, thereby accomplishing the construction of an economical and efficient facility.

Abstract

A degassing apparatus having duplex vacuum vessels for removing impurity gases from molten steel by backflow of molten steel thereby homogenizing molten steel composition. The apparatus includes duplex vacuum vessels of first and second vacuum vessels fixedly arranged at a predetermined interval to a floor which is provided horizontally at a predetermined height from a bottom; first and second ladle carriages arranged to run on first and second rails, respectively, to reciprocate between a treatment position directly under the first and second vacuum vessels and a tapping position where refined molten steel is tapped, each of the first and second ladle carriage loaded with a corresponding one of first and second ladles; and first and second lifting cylinders each for raising and lowering each of the first and second ladles in the treatment position so that a bottom end of each of the first and second vacuum vessels is immersed by molten steel in each of the first and second ladles. The apparatus can remove limiting factors of suspending a continuous vacuum degassing refining process and thus prolong lifetime of the vacuum vessel and save manufacturing cost.
