ARRANGEMENT IN A DRILL RIG AND A METHOD FOR MONITORING AN AIR FLOW
The present invention relates to an arrangement in a drill rig. The arrangement comprises an inlet valve placed before the inlet to a displacement compressor that is used for supplying a flow of air via a pressure vessel to at least one flushing hole in the surface of a drill bit. The arrangement is used for detecting a reduced flow of air through the at least one flushing hole in the surface of the drilling bit. The arrangement further comprises means for detecting the quantity of air flowing through the inlet valve placed before the inlet to the displacement compressor. The invention furthermore relates to a method for indirectly monitoring of a reduced air flow through at least one flushing hole in the arrangement above.
The present invention relates to an arrangement in a rock drill rig 10 comprising an inlet valve 31 arranged upstream a displacement compressor 32 that is used for supplying an air flow 34 to at least one flushing hole 23 in the surface of a drill bit 20. The drill rig 10 further comprising an regulator 35 arranged to regulate the system pressure in the air flow path 34 downstream the compressor and means for detecting an flow of air through the at least one flushing hole 23 in the surface of the drill bit. The detecting means comprises a pressure sensor 36, arranged between the air regulator 35 and the inlet valve 31, adapted to measure the reduced system pressure.
A method and a device for controlling a drill rig (1) which includes a carrier vehicle with at least one feed-beam (3), wherein a drill machine (2) is movable to-and-fro, wherein rig parameters are set by a control unit (6) and wherein each one of a plurality of operating modes (M1-M6) includes specified operating settings for different operating parameters of the rig. Each operating mode (M1-M6) is selectable such that operation of the rig is related to a particular type of rock, in which drilling is to be performed, and each operating mode (M1-M6) includes operating settings that are adapted to the prevailing type of rock. The invention also concerns a drill rig.
A bit assembly is for a drill having a casing, a central axis and a hammer movably disposed within the casing. The bit assembly includes a chuck with a tubular body having first and second ends, the first end being connected with the casing such that the second end is spaced axially therefrom, and one or more openings extending generally axially from the second end toward the first end. A bit includes a body with a tubular portion having a cavity and one or more axial lugs, the lug(s) being disposeable within the chuck opening(s). A retainer is coupled with the chuck, disposeable within the bit cavity and engageable with the bit lug(s) so as to releasably couple the bit with the chuck.
