Use of a reactor in a soap manufacture method, and reactor specially suited for such use The invention relates to the use of a reactor (1) in a soap manufacture method. The reactor (1) includes: - a vessel (2), - an agitation system (10) including a first agitation member (15) suitable for cutting the mixture and for moving the mixture transversely in relation to the central axis (A) towards the side wall (4), and a second agitation member (25) suitable for moving the mixture in a pumping direction (S) along the central axis (A) of the vessel (2), the second agitation member (25) being a moving axial pumping body comprising blades (27), a top edge (30) of which is in front of a bottom edge (29), and having a second power number P02 of between 0.3 and 1.5 and a second pumping number Q02 of between 0.5 and 2, and - a heating system suitable for heating the mixture in the inner space (5) of the vessel (2).

Abstract

The present invention relates to a discontinuous method for manufacturing soap, which includes at least the following steps: a) a step of mashing and cooking, wherein: at least a fatty acid and/or a fatty acid ester are mixed with an aqueous soda solution; and the mixture is heated to obtain a soap paste; b) at least one step of washing the soap paste obtained in step a), wherein: the soap paste is mixed with an aqueous solution including 1 wt % to 42 wt % of a mixture of soda and salt; the mixture is heated and allowed to settle until two phases are formed: the curd soap including salt, soda and glycerine, and an aqueous solution including salt, soda and glycerine; and the curd soap and the aqueous solution are separated; and c) a step of smoothing the curd soap obtained in step b) by neutralisation, wherein: the curd soap is mixed with at least one neutralisation agent which can be an acid, a fatty acid or a fatty acid ester; the mixture is heated, and the smoothed soap is obtained. The invention also relates to a method according to the preceding claim, in which the fatty acid and/or the fatty acid ester used in step a) is a fat, preferably of plant origin, and more preferably a plant-origin or vegetable oil or paste. The invention likewise relates to the smooth soap likely to be manufactured by means of said method.
