Abstract
The rotating mechanism of the present invention includes: a rotatable shaft (13); a first crank arm (12), wherein one end of the first crank arm is fixedly connected to the shaft (13); a second crank arm (15), wherein one end of the second crank arm is rotatably connected to the shaft (13); a first hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder (11) interconnecting the two crank arms, and spaced apart from the shaft, whereby contraction or expansion of the first hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder enables the angular distance between the crank arms to be varied; and a second hydraulic or pneumatic cylinder (14) connecting the second crank arm to a support; wherein the second crank arm (15) is the closer of the two crank arms to the support.

Abstract
The present invention provides a cargo container (10) having side walls (12, 13) and a base (14) and including: (a) an outer framework (16); and (b) an inner liner (15) to hold bulk material therein. Preferably, the outer framework is an openwork framework. According to a first aspect of the invention, the outer framework of the cargo container in - cludes a plurality of support ribs (17) to strengthen the structure of the container for sub - stantial weight-bearing support. According to a second aspect of the invention, the upper edges of the side walls (12, 13) of the cargo container include a bevelled section (23) with a gradient sloping downward to - ward the wall's outer surface such that the height [from the container base (14)] of the inner perimeter of said bevelled section is greater than the height [from the container base (14)] of the outer perimeter of said bevelled section, the terms "upper" and "downward" being defined with respect to the container being positioned with its base residing on a horizontal support surface.

Abstract
According to the present invention, there is provided apparatus (10) for engaging and handling a cargo container (12), said apparatus having a frame assembly including: a longitudinal support member (22); two spaced apart sub-frames (24) depending from the longitudinal support member (22); each sub-frame (24) having a container support arm (34) pivotally mounted by means of a rotating assembly (30) on its inner face, said rotating assembly connecting the sub-frame (24) to its respective container support arm (34); a drive means to rotationally drive the rotating assembly (34) connecting the sub-frame (24) to its container support arm (34); and each container support arm (34) including one or more movable component having an engaging member (36) for cooperation with a cargo container (12); the movable components of the container support arms (34) being movable such that: a cargo container (12) engaged by the engaging members is movable between at least two positions with respect to the sub-frames (24), in the first position, the container (12) being located beyond the space between the two sub-frames (24) and, in the second position, the container (12) being located at least partially between the two sub-frames (24), and the cargo container (12) being rotatable by the apparatus to discharge its contents (14).
