Abstract

Detection method for ensuring that only one subject passes when said subject passes through an access door (1, 2), e.g. for boarding or entering an enclosure, comprising the following steps: - emission, by an emitter (4), of a modulated infrared signal towards said subject; - reception, by a receiver (4), of at least part of said infrared signal reflected by said subject and the subject's environment; and - detection of whether or not there is only one said subject by analysing the infrared signal received by said receiver (4). The invention also relates to a detection system and installation for ensuring there is only one subject when said subject passes through an access door (1, 2), e.g. when boarding or entering an enclosure.
