The present invention concerns a module (1) of a seal or transition for cables or wires, which module (1) is to be placed inside a frame (10) together with one or more compression units (12). The module (1) comprises two module halves (2). Each module half comprises an outer part (3, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 33). The outer part has a straight section (3′) and two end sections (3″) at the ends of the straight section and placed perpendicular to the straight section, giving a U-form in end view. An inner part (5, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 31, 34) is placed in a recess (4) formed between the end sections of the outer part (3, 17, 19, 21, 23, 25, 27, 30, 33). The inner part (5, 18, 20, 22, 24, 26, 28, 31, 34) has a number of layers (6).
Disclosed is a monitoring system (2) for cable, pipe or wire transits (1; 1a…1n) of a type which has a plurality of transit elements (10, 20, 30, 40; 42; 400) to be assembled into a sealed installation of one or more cables (2), pipes or wires at a site (5). Each transit (1; 1a…1n) has a transit guard unit (50; 50a-50n; 150; 250; 350; 450) configured to detect a condition indicative of whether the installation of the cables, pipes or wires in the transit is sealed or at least potentially not sealed. A central monitoring unit (70) is configured to receive, over a communication network (60; 60b), first information (110, 112) about the condition detected by the transit guard unit (50) of any of the transits (1a…1n). The central monitoring unit (70) registers the particular transit (1a) as being in a first state (GREEN) when the received first information (110) indicates that the installation of the cables, pipes or wires in the transit is sealed, or as being in a second state (RED) when the received first information (112) indicates that the installation is at least potentially not sealed. While the particular transit (1a) is in the second state (RED), the central monitoring unit (70) receives second information (114) about the condition detected by the transit guard unit (50a) of the particular transit (1a). If the received second information indicates that the installation of the cables, pipes or wires in the transit is sealed, then the registered state of the particular transit (1a) is changed to a third state (YELLOW). The central monitoring unit (70) makes the registered states (GREEN, RED, YELLOW) of the respective transits (1a-1n) available to a user (3, 4) of the monitoring system (2).

A MONITORING SYSTEM FOR CABLE, PIPE OR WIRE TRANSITS, AND A TRANSIT GUARD UNIT FOR USE THEREIN
Disclosed is a monitoring system for cable, pipe or wire transits of a type which has a plurality of transit elements to be assembled into a sealed installation of one or more cables, pipes or wires at a site. Each transit has a transit guard unit configured to detect a condition indicative of whether the installation of the cables, pipes or wires in the transit is sealed or at least potentially not sealed. A central monitoring unit is configured to receive, over a communication network, first information about the condition detected by the transit guard unit of any of the transits. The central monitoring unit registers the particular transit as being in a first state when the received first information indicates that the installation of the cables, pipes or wires in the transit is sealed, or as being in a second state when the received first information indicates that the installation is at least potentially not sealed. While the particular transit is in the second state, the central monitoring unit receives second information about the condition detected by the transit guard unit of the particular transit. If the received second information indicates that the installation of the cables, pipes or wires in the transit is sealed, then the registered state of the particular transit is changed to a third state. The central monitoring unit makes the registered states of the respective transits available to a user of the monitoring system.
G01M 3/18 - Investigating fluid tightness of structures by using fluid or vacuum by detecting the presence of fluid at the leakage point using electric detection means for valves
The present invention concerns a transit for leading cables, pipes or wires through a partition in a sealed way. The transit comprises a sleeve (1) and a seal (2) to be received inside a central through opening of the sleeve (1). The seal (2) comprises a base part (7), a front fitting (9) and a rear fitting (10), which front and rear fittings (9,10) are placed at opposite ends of the base part (7). The base part (7) of the seal (2) is made of a compressible material, whereby the front and rear fittings (9, 10) are arranged to be moved towards each other in order to compress the base part (7) of the seal (2). The compression is achieved by co-operating threaded pins (19) and nuts (11). At least one rotating fitting (13) is placed between the front fitting (9) and the base part (7) of the seal (2), and is received on one of the threaded pins (19).

The present invention concerns a transit for cables, a cable bundle (9) or a bus bar (12). The transit comprises a sleeve (1) having a trough opening (2) for receiving the cables or the bus bar (12). The sleeve (1) is to be received in a through opening (5) of a partition (4). A glass fiber tissue hose (7) is placed going through the opening of the sleeve (1). The ends of the tissue hose (7) is wrapped back and placed on the outside of the sleeve (1). One or more intumescent strips (6) are placed between the inside of the sleeve (1) and the tissue hose (7). A fire retarding agent (10) is placed around and between the cables or around the bus bar (12).
