Abstract

The present invention relates to an oil ring for an internal combustion engine and a piston assembly including same. The oil ring for an internal combustion engine according to the present invention comprises: a compression part protruding from the top portion of the body of the oil ring and coming into close contact with the inner wall of a cylinder so as to effectively restrict expanding gas generated in the combustion chamber; a scraper part including a nose which protrudes from the bottom portion of the body and comes into close contact with the inner wall of the cylinder so as to scrape excess oil supplied to the inner wall of the cylinder; and an oil suction part capable of collecting and discharging the excess oil supplied to the inner wall of the cylinder in a space formed by the compression part and the scraper part. Therefore, the oil ring can reduce leakage of high-temperature high-pressure gas generated in the combustion chamber, and can prevent incomplete combustion due to oil leaking into the combustion chamber.

Abstract

Disclosed therein is a hollow type crankshaft in which in a state where a hollow member coated thereon with a flux for the fusion-bonding between borax-based hetero-metals are respectively interposed in a crank pin and in a crank journal, the hollow member is cast-bonded to the crank pin and the crank journal, thereby easily bonding the hollow member when the crankshaft is manufactured, greatly increasing rigidity against bending load and torsional load to prolong the lifespan of components, enhancing a vibration-damping force to reduce an engine noise, and further increasing rigidity by inserting a rigid shaft into a hollow part of the hollow member. The hollow type crankshaft for converting a reciprocating motion into a rotary motion, which includes: a crank pin connected with a large end of a connecting rod for converting power of a piston into a rotary motion; a crank journal supported inside a crank case for enduring a load of the crankshaft; and a crank arm for connecting the crank journal and the crank pin with each other, wherein a hollow member is interposed in the crank pin to form a hollow part inside the crank pin, the hollow member being coated on the outer peripheral surface thereof with a paste type flux consisting of 8 to 13 % by weight of boric acid, 21 to 26 % by weight of borax, 34 to 44.5 % by weight of calcium fluoride, 26 to 32 % by weight of hydrofluoric acid, and 0.5 to 1.5 % by weight of impurity, whereby molten metal is injected between the hollow member and the crank pin in a state where the hollow member is interposed in the crank pin to thereby cast-bond the hollow member and the crank pin.
