Abstract

Pilger rolling mill for working a hollow into a tube has a first roll stand mounted linearly moveable in a direction of motion. Translational motion of the roll stand causes rotational motion of the drive gear due to the cogging of the drive gear with the gear rack and, hence, also rotational motion of the roller arranged on the shaft of the drive gear and rotational motion of the other one of the two rollers in the opposite direction. Roll stand is connected with a crank drive and rotational motion of a motor drive is transformed into an oscillating translational motion of the roll stand by a connecting rod. Gear rack holder allows adjustment of the pilger rolling mill with respect to tube diameters of finished rolled tubes by arranging the first roll stand exchangeable by a second roll stand with a second dimension being different from the first dimension.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a tube made of an austenitic stainless steel comprising, in weight %, C ≤ 0.080, 8.00 ≤ Mn ≤ 10.00, Si ≤ 1.00, P ≤ 0.030, S ≤ 0.030, 19.00 ≤ Cr ≤ 21.50, 5.50 ≤ Ni ≤ 7.50, 0.15 ≤ N ≤ 0.40, Mo ≤ 0.75, Cu ≤ 0.75, which is balanced by Fe and normally occurring impurities. So far tubes made of an austenitic stainless steel comprising this composition of ingredients are welded. A major problem of welded tubes is the risk for cracking, where the weld zone is the preferential location for cracking. This is especially a problem for applications under extreme conditions like in the aircraft or aerospace industry. It is therefore an aspect of the present disclosure to provide a tube made of an austenitic stainless steel comprising the foresaid components which at least overcomes one of the foresaid problems. Furthermore, it is an aspect of the disclosure to provide tubes that have less weight as tube known from the state of the art but increases the security and lead to a higher standard in the aircraft and aerospace industry. At least one of the above aspects is solved by a foresaid tube, wherein that the tube is a seamless tube.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a diesel distributor fuel rail for a diesel combustion engine with a diesel distributor conduit and a plurality of injector cups in fluid connection with a diesel distributor conduit. In order to make combustion engines having a smaller cylinder capacity more efficient, it is necessary to enhance fuel pressure in the distributor fuel rail. Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for forming a hollow 26 of a ferritic FeCrAI alloy into a tube 2. While tubes made of powder metallurgical, dispersion hardened, ferritic FeCrAI alloys are commercially available, hollows made of FeCrAI alloys so far can hardly be formed into tubes of small dimensions. The major reason for the problems in forming hollows of a ferritic FeCrAI alloy into a finished product is that FeCrAI alloys are brittle. It is therefore an aspect of the present invention to provide a tube 2 made of a ferritic FeCrAI alloy having arbitrary small dimensions. Furthermore, it is an aspect of the present invention to provide a machine 1 and a method for forming a tubular hollow 26 into a finished tube 2 of a ferritic FeCrAI alloy. At least one of the above aspects is addressed by a method for forming a hollow into a tube 2 comprising the steps providing the hollow 26 of a ferritic FeCrAI alloy, heating the hollow 26 to a temperature in a range from 90°C to 150°C, and forming the heated hollow 26 by pilger milling or drawing into the tube.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a pilger rolling mill for shaping a bloom into a tube, comprising a first roll stand (1) mounted to be linearly moveable in a movement direction. Two rollers (2, 3) for shaping the bloom into the tube are rotatably mounted on shafts on the roll stand (1) in such a way that one of the rollers (2, 3) is arranged on a shaft with a drive gear (6). The drive gear (6) engages in a stationary rack (5) which is secured on a rack holder (4) so that a translational movement of the roll stand (1) due to the engagement of the drive gear (6) in the rack (5) causes a rotational movement of the drive gear (6) and thus also of the roller (2, 3) arranged on the shaft of the drive gear (6), and also of the other of the two rollers (2, 3) in the opposite direction. The roll stand (1) is connected to a crank drive so that a rotational movement of a drive motor is converted via a push rod into an oscillating translational movement of the roll stand (1) during operation of the pilger rolling mill. In contrast, the rack holder (4) according to the invention enables the provision of a pilger rolling mill that can be adjusted in a simple and cost-effective way to the tube diameter to be produced in the finish-rolled tubes, so that the production of tubes with different diameters is possible in the same pilger rolling mill. For this purpose, the rack (4) is configured in such a way that the first roll stand (1) is interchangeable with a second roll stand with a second dimension that differs from the first dimension. By adjusting the roll stand to the required tube diameter of the finish-rolled tubes, said tubes have dimensions of improved accuracy and precision after their production process.

Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a method for manufacturing a tube of metal. Sensors are attached to tubes, which register and signal a damage of the tube. It is detrimental that protection of the sensors at these tubes against environmental influences is complex. In contrast, it is an object of the present disclosure to provide a method for manufacturing a tube, in which the signal line can be protectively mounted. To solve this object, a method for manufacturing a tube of metal is suggested with an outer tube and an inner tube, wherein a groove is drawn in an inner surface of the outer tube or in an outer surface of the inner tube and subsequently the inner tube and the outer tube are drawn together through a drawing die, wherein the inner dimension of the outer tube is reduced such that after the drawing the outer tube is force-fitted onto the inner tube.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for producing a high-pressure pipe (1). An inner pipe (2) made of metal and an outer pipe (3) made of metal are drawn together through a first drawing die (4a). The outer diameter (D2) of the inner pipe is smaller than the inner diameter (D3) of the outer pipe. By drawing the outer pipe and the inner pipe, which extends in the outer pipe, together through the first drawing die, a very stable force-fitting connection is produced between the inner pipe and the outer pipe. As a result, a pipe is produced with a large wall thickness, by means of which the produced pipe is very robust and pressure-resistant while having a very high quality outer lateral surface and in particular a very high quality inner lateral surface by virtue of the cold forming process. These two properties allow a sufficiently high protection of the pipe to be produced against bursting when pressures in excess of 12,000 bar are applied to the pipe. Accordingly, the method according to the invention is particularly suitable for producing a pipe with a clearly improved dynamic pressure resistance against high pressures by combining a large wall thickness of the pipe to be produced with a high quality inner lateral surface of the pipe to be produced.

Abstract

Rolling trains for producing a tube, with a pilger rolling mill for reducing the diameter of a hollow blank to form a tube, are known from the prior art. In this case, the individual working steps of rolling in the pilger rolling mill and, for example, annealing in a furnace after the rolling are performed at separate times, and the finished rolled tubes are initially bundled together, stored as a bundle and annealed in a closed furnace at a much later time. This procedure, referred to as bundle production, means that the production of a tube, from the reducing in the pilger rolling mill to the packaging, takes about two weeks, while the actual processing operations during these two weeks take only about two hours. Against this background, the object of the present invention is to provide a rolling train that operates continuously. To achieve this object, a pilger rolling train for producing a tube is proposed, with a pilger rolling mill for reducing the diameter of a hollow blank to form the tube, a first buffer for a number of tubes, the first buffer having a device for bundling a number of tubes together in a bundle, an annealing furnace for simultaneously annealing a number of tubes, a second buffer for a number of tubes, the second buffer for the tubes having a device for individually separating the number of tubes from a bundle, and a straightening machine for straightening the individually separated tubes one after the other, wherein the devices are arranged in the aforementioned sequence in the direction of flow of the tube and wherein an automated transporting device for the tube is respectively provided between the pilger rolling mill, the first buffer, the annealing furnace, the second buffer and the straightening machine.

Abstract

Conventional cold-rolling mills comprise a mill stand (1), at least one roll (2, 3) which is rotatably mounted on the mill stand (1), a feed bracing slide (5) for feeding a blank and a first drive for the feed bracing slide. The cold-rolling mills have wear-prone ball screw drives as a drive for the feed bracing slide. The aim of the invention is therefore to provide a cold-rolling mill the feed bracing slide (5) drive of which is subject to no or only little wear and which allows a slow displacement of the feed bracing slide (5). The cold-rolling mill according to the invention has a direct electromechanical linear drive (6) for the feed bracing slide (5).

Abstract

The aim of the invention is to design a chuck for a cold-pilgering mill, which allows a simple replacement of the chuck jaw carriers and thus a fast and inexpensive adaptation of the cold-pilgering mill to tubes of different diameters and wall thicknesses. According to the invention, a cold-pilgering mill is provided with a chuck (23) which comprises a substantially hollow-cylindrical adapter sleeve (24) having an inner cylindrical surface (31) and a cylinder axis (32), the inner cylindrical surface (31) having at least one clamping section the surface of which forms an angle with the cylinder axis (32) in the axial direction, and at least one first and one second chuck jaw carrier (21). The adapter sleeve (24) has a first slit-shaped opening at a first end so that a chuck jaw carrier (21) can be inserted in the adapter sleeve (24) through the opening in the radial direction. Every chuck jaw carrier (21) has an outer surface which extends substantially parallel to the cylinder axis (32) and a clamping surface (30) which is arranged opposite the outer surface and which extends substantially parallel to the cylinder axis. The outer surface (29) and the clamping surface (30) define a wedge and the adapter sleeve (24) can be displaced parallel to the cylinder axis (32) and relative to the chuck jaw carriers (21) such that the chuck section of the adapter sleeve (24) engages with the outer surface (29) of the chuck jaw carriers (21).

Abstract

A device for expelling drops of a flowable product. The invention relates to a device for expelling drops of a flowable product, comprising a rotating outer drum and a feed channel for the product to be expelled extending into the outer drum, wherein the outer drum comprises passage openings on the circumference thereof, through which the product to be expelled runs from the feed channel and then exits in droplet shape. According to the invention, at least one outer circumference of the outer drum is provided with a coating that reduces wetting with the product to be tabletted compared to a base material of the outer drum. For example, the invention can be used for tabletting flowable products.
