Abstract
The invention relates to a method and an installation for treating ash from waste incinerators, comprising a classifier device (5) for classifying an ash-water mixture, in three stages, into a course fraction (8), a medium fraction (9) with a smaller grain size of no more than 1.2 mm, and a fine fraction (10) with an even smaller grain size of no more than 0.4 mm. Only the course fraction (8) is fed to a treatment of the metal contained in said course fraction.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method and an installation for treating ash from waste incinerators. The installation comprises a pump (4) for pumping an ash-water mixture, or a free inlet for introducing said ash-water mixture, and a classifier device (5). The classifier device (5) classifies the ash-water mixture, in three stages, into a course fraction (8), a medium fraction (9) with a smaller maximum grain size, and a fine fraction (10) with an even smaller maximum grain size. The pump (4) or free inlet is fluidically connected to the classifier device (5) such that the ash-water mixture is pumped or introduced into said classifier device without additional treatment.

Abstract
A method for processing ash from waste incineration plants by wet classification includes mixing the ash with a liquid in a mixing hopper. After screening, the mixture is fed to a first classifying stage, including an upflow classifier and an upstream hydrocyclone, where it is separated into a good fraction and a residual fraction. The residual fraction is drawn off as a suspension on an upper side of a fluidized bed of the upflow classifier. The good fraction is drawn off on an underside of the fluidized bed. A pass through fraction is fed back into the hydrocyclone installation and a material flow containing particles which are smaller than a separation particle size is separated as cyclone overflow. The cyclone overflow is separated in a second classifying stage into a fine particle mineral fraction and a residue which has a grain size upper limit between 20 μm and 50 μm.

Abstract
The invention relates to a method for processing ash from waste incineration plants by means of wet classification, wherein ash (1) is mixed with liquid (3) in a mashing tank (2) and, after a coarse fraction (4) has been screen out, is fed to a classifying stage (5) as a feed flow, which classifying stage comprises an upward-current classifier (6) and an upstream hydrocyclone installation (7). In the classifying stage (5), the feed flow is separated into a good fraction (8) free of harmful substances and a remaining fraction (9) containing harmful substances, wherein the remaining fraction (9) is drawn off as a suspension at the top side of a fluidized bed produced in the upward-current classifier and wherein the good fraction (8) drawn off at the bottom side of the fluidized bed is dewatered by means of a screening device (10). The pass-through fraction (13) of the screening device (10) is fed back into the hydrocyclone installation (7). In the hydrocyclone installation (7), at least one material flow containing essentially only particles that are smaller than the separation particle size of the screening process is removed as a cyclone overflow (15, 15'). In a second classifying stage (17), the cyclone overflow (15, 15') of the hydrocyclone installation (7) is separated into a fine-particle mineral fraction (18) and a remainder (19) containing harmful substances, wherein the remainder has a upper particle-size limit between 20 μm and 50 μm.

Abstract
The invention relates a process for treating ash from refuse incineration plants by wet classification. In the case of this process, ash (1) is mixed with liquid (3) in a mashing vessel (2) and, after screening off a coarse fraction (4), is fed as a feed stream to a first classifying stage (5). The feed stream is separated in the first classifying stage (5) into a pollutant-free acceptable fraction (8) and a pollutant-laden residual fraction (9), wherein the acceptable fraction (8) is dewatered by means of a first screening device (10) and a screening residue (11) with a lower grain size of over 150 µm is obtained. In a second classifying stage (17), the residual fraction (9) is separated into a finely divided mineral fraction (18) and a pollutant-laden residue (19), wherein the residue (19) has a grain upper limit of between 20 µm and 50 µm. The finely divided mineral fraction (18) is dewatered by means of a second screening device (21). From the screening residue (11) of the first screening device (10) and/or from the screening residue (22) of the second screening device (21), metals (12, 23) are isolated.
