The present invention is directed to personal heating devices, known as heated packs. Heated packs of the invention include a frame and a heating assembly disposed within the frame. The heating assembly may include a heating panel, an intelligent circuit, and a battery. In certain embodiments, one or more sides of the frame include a material configured to absorb heat or release heat in response to the energy outputted by the heating assembly.
