The invention relates to an actuating device (1) for a shutoff device, more particularly for a hydrant, more particularly for an underground hydrant (2), comprising: - an enabling unit (3), which is designed to enable or prevent the operation of a valve of the shutoff device, more particularly the hydrant, more particularly the underground hydrant (2); - a control unit, which is connected to the enabling unit (3) and is designed to trigger the enabling unit (3) to enable the valve operation only after a enabling code has been authenticated; wherein the enabling unit (3) acts on a valve spindle (5); wherein the enabling unit (3) has a wrench attachment point (6) and a switchable coupling (7); wherein, in a first switching position, the coupling (7) torque-transmittingly connects the wrench attachment point (6) to the valve spindle (5) and, in a second switching position, the coupling disables the torque-transmitting connection between the wrench attachment point (6) and the valve spindle (5) at least in the direction of rotation (8) which opens the valve. The invention also relates to a hydrant system (11), comprising an actuating device (1) of this type and a hydrant (2), and to a water withdrawal fitting for connecting to a fitting connection (12) of a hydrant system (11) of this type.

Methods and means for identifying a fluid type inside of a conduit is provided, including at least the steps of illuminating a fluid (105) in a conduit with ionizing radiation (104); detecting backscattered electromagnetic radiation (106) returned from one or more surfaces of associated illumination volumes using one or more electromagnetic radiation sensors (103); converting detected radiation into a corresponding set of planar image data; analyzing the image data using quantitative processing techniques; and creating a depth correlated log representative of the fluid response data. Various logging methods and means are also disclosed, and include at least a forward looking acquisition mode for use while the apparatus remains stationary; a plurality of acquisitions being performed while longitudinally moving the apparatus a predetermined distance through the conduit between acquisition operations; and a plurality of acquisitions being performed longitudinally while moving the apparatus a predetermined distance through the conduit.
The invention relates to a composition in solid form, containing a) at least one carboxylic acid, a salt of a carboxylic acid, a carboxylic acid anhydride or a carboxylic acid halogenide, and at least one peroxo compound, and/or b) at least one percarboxylic acid, wherein the composition contains at least one heavy metal and/or one heavy metal compound. The presence of a heavy metal/heavy metal compound causes an adequately fast decomposition of the percarboxylic acid after the percarboxylic acid has achieved the desired cleaning and disinfecting effect. The composition is especially important as a contact lens cleaner, where on the one hand thorough cleaning and disinfection of the contact lenses is essential, but on the other hand contact of the solution with the eyes or the skin of the user should not lead to irritation or serious injury.
A01N 37/16 - Biocides, pest repellants or attractants, or plant growth regulators containing organic compounds containing a carbon atom having three bonds to hetero atoms with at the most two bonds to halogen, e.g. carboxylic acids containing the group Thio-analogues thereof
The invention relates to a system for cultivating and harvesting mushrooms, with a plurality of picking racks (5) which are located in a picking zone (6), wherein the mushrooms, which grow on a substrate (3), are arranged on one level on the picking racks (5). The problem addressed by the invention is that of providing a cultivating and harvesting system, with which the picking costs can be reduced. For this purpose, the invention proposes providing at least one transverse conveyor (17) in the picking zone (6), this involving a belt conveyor which spans a plurality of picking racks (5) arranged next to one another and has a conveying direction transversely with respect to the longitudinal extent of the picking racks (5).
The invention relates to an implant for anchoring a prosthesis in the jaw of a patient, having a base body (1) and a post (2) connecting to the top thereof, wherein the post (2) engages in a recess opening (3) of the base body (1) in a positive and non-positive manner and can be firmly connected thereto. In order to improve such an implant, the invention provides that a sealing collar (4) surrounding the recess opening (3), and an annular groove (5) surrounding the sealing collar (4), are provided on the top of the base body (1), wherein the post (2) has a circumferential shoulder (6) on the bottom thereof facing the base body (1), the shoulder having a shape that is complementary to the sealing collar (4) and the annular groove (5).
The invention relates to a method for producing a conveying pipe (1) for concrete or other thick matter having highly abrasive properties. According to said method, coupling flanges (2) are first welded onto the ends of a pipe (1) made of hardenable steel, and an internal layer (5) of the conveying pipe (1) is then created by means of a hardening process in such a way that the internal layer (5) is surrounded by a non-hardened, impact-resistant external layer (6). The hardening process is performed by means of induction hardening with the help of an induction head (7) which is introduced into the pipe (1). The induction head (7) and the pipe (1) are moved relative to one another in an axial direction during the hardening process, the effective hardening depth of the induction hardening process being controlled in accordance with the momentary position of the induction head (7) in the pipe (1). Preferably, the effective hardening depth is greater in the final areas than in the central area, thus providing the pipe with great resistance to wear.
