Abstract

The process for the recovery and the exploitation of a substratum of biomasses (2) municipal wastes (1) and/or carbonaceous matrices encompasses the phases of: using algal (52) and lignocellulosic (62) biomasses deriving from the exploitation of the by-products generated by primary conversion systems such as thermal (36) and electric (35) energy, digestate (22), biochar (34), water (25), CO2 and nitrogenous and sulphurised compounds (37) and ashes (33) as nutrients for the production of vegetable organisms by means of intensifying the photosynthesis processes for the treatment of emissions and the sequestration of CO2; feeding a substratum to a press-extrusion system (7), possibly provided of separation means, so that it is sub-divided into a liquid organic fraction (8) and an energetic dry fraction (9); using a liquid organic fraction (8) as feed for a biogas generation system (18) by means of bacterial fermentation under anaerobic conditions (15); using the said energetic dry fraction (9) as feed for a synthesis gas generation system (31) by means of a thermo-chemical conversion (28); wetland bio-filtering (51) water (25) obtained as by-product from the biogas (15) and syngas generation system (28), obtaining purified water (27) and primary biomass (52, 62); using biogas (18) and/or synthesis gas (31) produced by a co-generation system (19, 32) as fuel and/or biofuels (57) deriving from biogas and/or synthesis gas to feed vehicles.

The functionalised nanosponge is based upon a cross-linked cyclodextrin and contains at least one functionalising agent, such as a micro element, an active principle and/or a magnetic material. It is used for applications on vegetable organisms the growth, conservation, protection and/or disinfection of which is promoted. Abstract

The process comprises the succession of the following phases: dosing of a pre-established quantity of the liquid matrix in a controlled atmosphere vial in which sodium biphenyl or sodium naphthalene is micro-dispersed in a glycol or a derivative of glycol; dosing in the vial of an extracting acid solution of KNO3; filtration of the extracting solution through a first filter with a pore diameter < 1 μm in a first container containing a pre-dosed solution of silver nitrate which causes the precipitation of the chlorides; and quantitative determination of the residual silver iones, whose quantity is correlated with the total chlorine present in the matrix.

Abstract

The method comprises the steps of: pouring in a container a sample of oil and a pre-established amount of a solution suitable for extracting the acid fraction of the sample; stirring the content of the container and waiting for the separation from the sample of an extract phase; dosing in the extract phase a titrant solution of KOH until an acid-base indicator present therein changes color; and calculating the TAN on the basis of the volume of dosed titrant solution according to the formula: TAN (mgKOH/goil) = (V x 56, 1 x M)/m wherein V is the volume of dosed titrant solution expressed in ml, 56,1 is the molecular weight of KOH, M is the titre of the KOH solution expressed in moles per litre and m is the mass of the sample expressed in g.

Abstract

The modular plant, comprised of at least one basic module, is suitable for converting carbonaceous matrices (6) into fuel or other useful products with no adverse environmental impact. The modular plant includes a rotary reactor (9) equipped with a rotating drive mechanism (22) and a fixed stationary body (1). The inclination of the reactor (9) with rotating central longitudinal axis can be varied from 0° to 45° with respect to a horizontal plane. The reactor is comprised of a central body, substantially a cylinder closed at the first one end, the entry end, with a stationary fixed head (8) and at the other, the exit end, with a head fixed to the rotary reactor (9). The inlet end (8) contains two conduits, one (7) for the introduction of the carbonaceous matrix (6) into the rotary reactor and the other inlet (5) for the introducing of thermally conductive carriers (4). The rotary reactor (9) is devoid of internal components which provide rotation motion relative to the cylindrical body. The fixed housing body (1) enclosing the rotary reactor (9) seals the reactor and maintains the integrity of the reactor atmosphere with respect to the external ambient atmosphere. The housing has openings for the passage of the first and second inlets, as well as an exit for the converted carbonaceous matrix (17, 19) and the thermally conductive carrier (4).
