Abstract

The invention relates to a portable, solar thermal device (1) for producing fresh water from wastewater or salt water. The device comprises a closed fluid circuit (2) made of pipe or hose elements connected to each other having a wastewater feed (3) and a fresh water drain (4), wherein the fluid circuit (2) comprises a tilted heating section (5) oriented substantially normal to the solar irradiation (S) for heating and evaporating the wastewater. A condensing section (6) connected thereto and oriented substantially vertically for condensing the fresh water and heating the wastewater is provided, and a storage section (7) for the condensed fresh water formed as a foot part is provided. The heating section (5) of the fluid circuit (2) comprises a solar collector (10) for concentrating the thermal energy of the solar radiation (S) onto an evaporation surface in the interior of the heating section (5).
