In order, in combination with an improved quality of the toothing, to have to place lower requirements on the tool and the machines, provision is made for the first component to be produced by stamping from a semifinished product which is provided with bevels (10, 11) over its entire length. The invention relates to an actuating mechanism (1), in particular a lock, for actuating an espagnolette (2) of an espagnolette fitting (3) for liftable and movable window or door leaves (4), comprising a housing (6) for receiving a coupling or drive element (7) which can be connected to the espagnolette (2) and which is coupled to an actuating slider or lever (8) that is rotatably connected to a crank piece (9) mounted in the housing (6). A peg (18) engages into the recess (16), said peg protruding into the polygonal opening (10) so as to extend over the opening (17) when engaging into the recess (16).

The invention relates to a final position retraction and damping device (1) for a slidable leaf as a sliding leaf or a slidable rising sliding leaf (2) of a window or a door, comprising an energy accumulator for retracting the sliding leaf (2) into the closed position and a damping element for braking the sliding leaf (2) before the sliding leaf arrives at the final and closed position, said energy accumulator and damping element being formed solely by a gas pressure spring (4). The final position retraction and damping device (1) is arranged so as to lie in a receiving groove (10) of a sliding leaf (2) in a covered manner, the gas pressure spring (4) being axially movable in the sliding direction (14) of the sliding leaf (2) by means of the rotational axis (13) of the gas pressure spring by means of the end (11) of the push rod (5) using a guiding pin (12) and being secured in a pivotal manner transversely to the sliding direction. A driver and control device (8) has two guide pins (12, 20) which are mutually spaced, said guide pins (12) being received by a bore (18). The guide pins (12, 20) are guided in a movable manner in a slotted guide (22) section (21) which runs in the sliding direction of the sliding leaf (2). A curved end portion (23) is formed so as to face away from the frame (3) in extension of the slotted guide (22) on the side oriented towards the gas pressure spring (4), and the driver and control device (8) assumes a disengaged position of the driver (9) and forms the locked position of the energy accumulator when at least the guide pin (12) engages into the curved end portion (23).
The invention relates to a fitting for a window or door leaf (2) that can at least be lifted and/or tilted, but preferably also be displaced, and has a guide rail (16), wherein an actuating rod assembly (7) is located on the vertical leaf spar (23) inside a fitting groove (20) of the leaf (2), said actuating rod assembly (7) comprising a drive rod (8) which can slide downwards by means of an actuation member (5) in order for the leaf (2) to be lowered and which transfers the sliding movement to at least one coupled carriage (10) via a corner deflection element (9). The fitting has a locking device (21) which is secured to the actuating rod assembly (7) inside the fitting groove (20) by means of a housing (26) and which can be coupled to the actuating rod assembly (7) by means of a guide part (24). The guide part (24) can be moved by actuating the drive rod (8) of the actuating rod assembly (7), and transfers a pivotable latch (29), which is controlled on the guide part (24) by means of an actuator guide (27) and which is rotatably mounted on the housing (26) of the locking device (21) via a pivot point (28), from an opening position located in a concealed manner in the housing (26) inside the actuating rod assembly (7) against the direction for lowering the leaf (2) into a free operating field (30) of a locked position. When the pivotable latch (29) moves into the locked position, a free end (46) thereof grips a peg (32) that is mounted on the frame (1) and arranged on the locking engagement element (22). The locking engagement element (22) comprises a locking plate (62) which is arranged on the frame (1) in an almost flush manner and which includes a cavity (63) through which the pivotable latch (29) can engage, and an ajar position is created as the free end (46) of the pivotable latch (29) engages into a free space (64) between the peg (32) and the locking plate (62).

The pivot latch (29) has a second connecting link (33), which, extending nearly in parallel with the first connecting link (31) and arranged at the end (34) that is more distant from the point of rotation (28), in engagement with the peg (32), forms a gap opening position.
