Abstract
The invention relates to a circular comb (6) for a combing machine, for combing textile fibers and for being fastened to a shaft of the combing machine, which shaft is rotatable about a shaft axis (W). The circular comb (6) comprises a main body (15) which carries a combing clothing (17), and a mass-balancing element (16) which is to be fastened to the shaft for conjoint rotation on the side of the shaft opposite the combing clothing (17). When installed in the combing machine, an adjustable support mechanism (30) is present between the main body (15) and the mass-balancing element (16), wherein the main body (15) and the mass-balancing element (16) contact one another directly in some portions, and the main body (15) and the mass-balancing element (16) can be changed in terms of their relative position with respect to one another perpendicularly to the shaft axis (W), so that the position of comb tips (33) of the combing clothing (17) is adjustable.

Abstract
The invention relates to a circular comb (2) which is intended for use in a combing machine for combing textile fibres, and which is to be secured to a combing machine shaft (5) that can rotate about a rotational axis (4). It comprises a circular comb main part (6) that has an outer circumferential side (7) and an inner circumferential side (8), and a plurality of combing bars (9) which are arranged on said outer circumferential side of the circular comb main part. On the outer circumferential side of the circular comb main part, at least two outer contact strips per combing bar are provided which are spaced apart from one another. On the inner circumferential side of the circular comb main part, inner contact strips are provided which are spaced apart from one another and form the only shaft assembly contact surfaces of said circular comb main part. At least some of the outer contact strips are associated with one of said inner contact strips respectively such that together these form a strip pair, the outer and inner contact strips of each of said strip pairs at least partially overlapping in their tangential extension, and there being at least two strip pairs provided per combing bar. The circular comb main part is fasted on the shaft by means of a tangential tensile force.
