Abstract

The present invention addresses the problem of providing a plant which can serve as a material for wooden buildings or a raw material for biofuels and in which the capability of producing secondary cell walls is improved by a small-scale mutation of one nucleotide to several nucleotides. A method is provided for producing a mixed composition composed of a lignocellulosic fiber and a molten thermoplastic resin that are kneaded together, the mixed composition being for use as a fiber reinforced resin material, the method including: a kneading step of kneading the lignocellulosic fiber and the thermoplastic resin together using a multi screw extruding machine equipped with two or more screws, wherein the multi screw extruding machine includes: a cylinder that internally has a kneading space in which the screws are provided; and a heating device that is provided on an outer circumferential portion of the cylinder and includes a plurality of heating units arranged in an axial direction of the cylinder, and, in the kneading step, the lignocellulosic fiber and the thermoplastic resin are kneaded together while maintaining set temperatures of the heating units anywhere in the axial direction at a temperature less than a melting point of the thermoplastic resin.

Abstract

The present invention provides a low-odor composition which is obtained by kneading a lignin-containing lignocellulose fiber, a resin and an odor reducing material and which is to be used as a fiber-reinforced resin material. The odor reducing material is activated carbon and/or a basic compound. In the lignocellulose fiber, the percentage by mass of the lignin component is preferably 5-50 % inclusive. The present invention also provides a low-VOC resin composition which is obtained by kneading a hemicellulose-containing lignocellulose fiber, a resin and a VOC reducing material and which is to be used as a fiber-reinforced resin material. The VOC reducing material contains a hydrazide compound. The VOC reducing material preferably contains a hydrazide compound and a urea compound.
