Abstract

A molded product includes a body including a flat part and a projection protruding from the flat part, a design member including a design surface, and an adhesive member sticking the design member to the body. The adhesive member includes a buffer portion formed by cutting off a part of the adhesive member at a position corresponding at least to the projection. Thus, the adhesive member negates differences in level on the body, allowing the design surface to be smooth.

Abstract

It is possible to reduce the thickness of a key sheet including a key base formed by a transparent resin and a plurality of key tops arranged on the key base. It is also possible to reduce the thickness of a key unit using the key sheet including a device using the key sheet such as a mobile telephone. Pushers are arranged on the rear surface of the key base. Alternatively, the key sheet includes a pusher sheet having pushers on its rear surface. The key base is formed by molding into a sheet shape, a thermoplastic resin which is in a solid state under an ambient temperature and can exhibit an adhesive force by a physical change alone: melting by heat and solidification by cooling.

Abstract

This invention provides a keytop (1) for use in a push button switch for portable electronic equipment. In the keytop (1), a reinforcing fiber layer is provided in an externally visible state in at least one of the top surface, back surface and inside of a keytop body of a resin. The keytop is manufactured by pressing a laminated material composed of a sheet of a resin material and a sheet of the reinforcing fiber layer in a mold, and molding a keytop body in such a state that the resin material sheet and the reinforcing fiber layer sheet have been bonded to each other. The reinforcement of the keytop body can realize a thickness reduction of the keytop body and consequently can facilitate the manufacture and cost reduction. At the same time, an improved design can be realized.

Abstract

A multi-direction input device where any direction in which a direction key is depressed before click sensation is generated is detected and where the direction key can be depressed in any direction with a predetermined force that is small (less than a force necessary to generate the click sensation by pressing down the direction key in a desired direction) relative to the click sensation. The multi-direction input device is formed in a structure where, when the direction key is depressed in a desired direction, a pressing section deforms a click sensation generation section to generate click sensation. The device also has a movable element and a stationary element. The distance between the elements varies when the direction key is depressed in a desired direction at least before the click sensation is generated, and the variation in the distance is used to detect, at least before the click sensation is generated, the desired direction in which the key is depressed.

Abstract

A method of producing a key top for a push button switch includes a step of integrally forming a sheet-like resin member including the key top with a three-dimensionally shape by using a first die and a second die. In the step, a resin material heated to a predetermined temperature is stamped on the three-dimensional shape formed in the first die and/or the second die. The key top for a push button switch has a predetermined gap between a first surface of the three dimensionally shaped key top, which surface faces the first die, and a second surface of the key top, which surface faces the second die.
