Abstract

A vest type flotation device having means for holding the flotation device in a folded configuration for transport and storage. In one embodiment a transport and storage strap member is attached substantially at its outer end to one of the right and left sides. The transport and storage strap member has a first portion of a first releasable locking member set attached thereto adjacent its inner end. A second portion of the first releasable locking member set is attached to one of the right and left front portions of the device. A second portion of a second releasable locking member set is attached to the right or left side of the device opposite the side to which the outer end of the transport and storage strap member is attached.

Abstract

A shade device for protecting a user from harmful sunrays is provided. The shade device may be held in the erected position with nubs such that to erect the shade device, frame support members are pushed to the erected position. To collapse the shade device, the frame support members are pushed past nubs. Accordingly, the shade device incorporates a simple push release mechanism to erect and collapse the shade device such that no assembly or disassembly of the shade device is required for tear down or set up.

Abstract

An apparatus includes a seat frame having an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The seat frame includes a support member and four elongate members. A first elongate member is of a first pole type, a second elongate member is of a second pole type, and a third and fourth elongate member are of a third pole type defined by a length and a shape. Each of the elongate members are pivotably connected to the support member. When the seat frame is in the expanded configuration, the first and second elongate members have a first end disposed at a front portion of the seat frame and a second end disposed at a back portion of the seat frame; and the third and the fourth elongate member have a first end disposed at the back portion of the frame and a second end disposed at the front portion of the frame.

Abstract

An apparatus includes a table and a bench movably coupled to the table. The table and the bench collectively have a first configuration and a second configuration. The table has a first width when the table and the bench are in the first configuration. The table and the bench collectively have a first height when the table and the bench are in the first configuration. The table and the bench collectively have a second width and a second height when the table and the bench are in the second configuration. The second width is less than half of the first width, and the second height is less than half of the first width.

Abstract

A submersible device according to an embodiment of the invention includes a container configured to be selectively buoyant in a liquid. The container can have at least one of a variety of different buoyancy systems. For example, the container can include a reservoir where the volume can be adjusted. In another example, the container can include a reservoir in communication with a pump configured to control the intaking and expelling of a liquid. In another embodiment, the container also defines a first partitioned section and a second partitioned section. The first partitioned section is substantially liquid resistant and the second partitioned section defines a hole in communication with an exterior of the container. An actuator is configured to receive an input from a user and is configured to modify an interior volume of the second partitioned section based on the input.

Abstract

A diving game assembly and method includes a non-buoyant housing. A digital timer is mounted in the housing and is configured to count down from a selected number of minutes and seconds down to zero seconds. A power supply is electrically coupled to the timer. The timer includes a digital display for displaying the number of minutes and seconds remaining on the timer. To use the assembly, the timer is set, started, and then the housing is thrown into a pool of water. Players then attempt to bring the housing to the surface of the water before the timer reaches zero seconds.
