Abstract

A functional module includes: a mounting plate (2) for fluid tight attachment to the cylinder head of an internal combustion engine, incorporating portions (3) of air tract, and an injection set provided with support and attachment legs (6′) intended to rest directly on the cylinder head (7) notably at a first group of points of attachment (8) thereof. The mounting plate (2) is provided with primary attachment sites (9) intended to collaborate with a second group of points of attachment (8′) of the cylinder head (7), and with secondary attachment sites (9′) corresponding to at least some of the points of attachment (8) of the first group belonging to the cylinder head (7), the secondary attachment sites (9′) of the mounting plate (2) being intended to be positioned over the top of at least some of the legs (6′).

Abstract

A slide-valve device sliding in a predetermined axial direction, includes a valve body having two chambers, the first chamber including a lateral fluid-intake opening and a fluid-outlet opening provided with a normally closed, conditionally opening plug device, the second chamber including first and second lateral fluid-outlet openings, mutually offset in the axial direction. Two inner regions of the second chamber are arranged contiguously in the axial direction and communicate with one another via an opening or an internal passage, and in that the sliding drawer includes a first plug member suitable for selectively plugging the communication opening or the internal communication passage or opening between the two regions and a second plugging member suitable for preventing fluid communication between the second lateral fluid-outlet opening of the second chamber and a first region of the second chamber, within a predetermined range of translation of the sliding drawer.

Abstract

A intake manifold or splitter for an internal combustion engine and a process for production of same wherein a functional unit, comprised of a shaft with valves attached thereto, is assembled with bearing parts comprising clothespin-like clamps that clamp onto the shaft to form a sub-assembly which is mounted as a unit into receiving housing of the manifold or splitter, wherein a molding or over-molding at is provided at a level of the contact surface of a connection plate to lock the assembly of valves, shaft and bearings into the receiving housings and form sealing formations that seal against gases between the intake manifold or splitter and the internal combustion engine.

Abstract

This invention relates to a double-plenum or double-chamber inlet manifold or splitter, made up of a structural unit comprising two distinct coupled plenums with a common wall, an inlet opening for each of the two plenums and several pipes through each of the said plenums, the said superimposed plenums having substantially flattened general structures and forming, with their respectively connected inlet openings and pipes, two independent circulation circuits running from the entrance at the inlet openings to the outlet at the external openings of the pipes, the said external or outlet openings of the pipes being grouped in pairs, with each pair having an opening of each of the two types of pipes; the manifold comprises two one-piece parts assembled together, in a gas-tight manner, at the continuous assembly areas, a first part incorporating at least the two inlet openings and first portions of the walls of the two plenums, contiguous to the said openings and the second part incorporating the pipes and second portions of the walls of the two plenums, contiguous to the said pipes and complementary to the above-mentioned first portions.

Abstract

Valve unit with a sliding throttle-chamber, comprising a valve body with an exchange or distribution chamber adapted to receive a sliding throttle-chamber of which the position of translation in the chamber defines ways of fluid communication between a primary inlet opening and at least two secondary outlet openings that can be selectively blocked or released by said throttle-chamber; the sliding throttle-chamber has a composite structure and consists of a first part controlling the fluid communication of said, at least, one secondary or radial outlet opening with the chamber and a second part controlling the fluid communication of the secondary or axial outlet opening with the chamber, the two parts of the throttle-chamber being linked together by a driving link in translation with a dead or non-driving area between the two extreme translation positions of said throttle-chamber.
