Abstract

Two press cylinders are disposed at an equal interval at left and right having the opening-closing cylinder therebetween, so as to have the approximately same distance from the conveying reference plane as the opening-closing cylinder. The opening-closing cylinder comprises an opening-closing linear encoder, which detects a decreased amount of the entire thickness of the object-to-be-processed as a displacement of the ram, when the object-to-be-processed is hot-pressed. The respective press cylinders comprise pressure sensors for press cylinders detecting pressing pressures of the pressing plates as cylinder inner pressures. A horizontal hotpress system is provided, which can easily improve yield ratio of the boards after hot-pressing by measuring thickness size of the object-to-be-processed while hot-pressed, according to an operation distance of the opening-closing cylinder, comprising an opening-closing cylinder for opening and closing the press plates, other than a plurality of the press cylinders for pressing the press plates.

Abstract

A horizontal multistage press device is configured in such a manner that two pressing cylinders (150L, 150R) are arranged on the left and right of an opening and closing cylinder (180) (center (O) of pressing) such that the pressing cylinders (150L, 150R) are at equal distances (L) from the opening and closing cylinder (180) and that the pressing cylinders (150L, 150R) are separated from a conveyance reference surface (B) by a distance substantially the same as the distance from the conveyance reference surface (B) to the opening and closing cylinder (180).  The opening and closing cylinder (180) is equipped with a linear encoder (181) adapted for detecting, as the amount of movement of a ram (183), the amount of a reduction in the overall thickness of an article (W) to be processed.  Such detection is performed when the article (W) is processed from a state in which pressing plates (140F, 140B) are being closed to a state in which the article (W) has been heated and pressed by the pressing cylinders (150L, 150R).  The pressing cylinders (150L, 150R) are equipped with pressure sensors (151L, 151R) for detecting, as the inner pressure of the pressing cylinders, pressing force of the pressing plates (140F, 140B).  Thus, the horizontal multistage press device is equipped, separately from the pressing cylinders for pressing the pressing plates, with the opening and closing cylinder for opening and closing the pressing plates and measures the overall thickness of the article to be processed during heating and pressing based on the operation distance of the opening and closing cylinder, and by this, the yield of a plate material (laminated plywood) after being heated and pressure bonded is easily improved.

Abstract

Hot-pressing is performed by driving and controlling pressing cylinders (150LH, 150RH, 150LL, 150RL) separately so that even if, for example, the size or the material of the board to be processed (W1) changes, the overall thickness of the processed body (W) after hot-pressing is within a prescribed range of permissible dimensions over the entire pressed surface (141). Each pressing cylinder (150LH, 150RH, 150LL, 150RL) is provided with a pressing cylinder linear encoder (151LH, 151RH, 151LL, 151RL) that detects the amount of decrease in overall thickness of the processed body (W) as the amount of ram movement and with a pressing cylinder pressure sensor (152LH, 152RH, 152LL, 152RL) that detects the pressing force of press plates (140F, 140B) as internal cylinder pressure in the pressing cylinders (150LH, 150RH, 150LL, 150RL). The rams (153LH, 153RH, 153LL, 153RL) of the respective pressing cylinders (150LH, 150RH, 150LL, 150RL) are each affixed to the press plates (140F, 140B) so that the pressing position of the press plates (140F, 140B) with respect to the pressed surface (141) does not vary. The pressing cylinders (150LH, 150RH, 150LL, 150RL) are driven and controlled separately to perform hot-pressing, so that even if, for example, the size or the material of the board to be processed (W1) changes, the overall thickness of the processed body (W) after hot-pressing is within a prescribed range of permissible dimensions over the entire pressed surface (141). A horizontal multistage press is thereby provided that, by controlling the operation of multiple pressing cylinders separately, can keep the thickness of a board (laminate board) after hot-pressing within a range of permissible dimensions even if, for example, the size or material of the conveyed board changes. A horizontal multi-stage press is also provided, which, by controlling the operation of multiple pressing cylinders separately or jointly, can keep the thickness of a board (laminate board) after hot-pressing within a range of permissible dimensions without moving or adjusting the pressing cylinder pressing positions, when, for example, the size of the conveyed board changes, and can also adapt to changes in board material.
