A method of producing chlorine dioxide involves generating chlorine dioxide gas by deforming a container body of a chlorine dioxide generator which is deformable in response to application of a force to the container body from outside of the container body. The deforming of the container body causes an enclosure contained in the cylinder body to be broken to bring an aqueous chlorite solution into contact with a solid acidic composition to generate chlorine dioxide gas that is discharged via a gas discharge port of the container body to outside of the container body. The method additionally involves submerging in water at least the gas discharge port of the container body during the generation of the chlorine dioxide gas to dissolve the chlorine dioxide gas discharged via the gas discharge port in the water.

Namely, an apparatus which comprises at least a pump (1) for pumping a fluid, a tube (2) for introducing the fluid pumped by the pump (1) into the digestive tract (4) of an animal (3) and a pressure meter (9) for measuring the pressure in the above-described fluid in the tube (2) and by which the gastrointestinal motor of the animal is determined based on the pressure measured by the pressure meter (9), characterized in that the apparatus has such a structure as being fixable to the animal (3) at one end and is further provided with a guiding member (11) extending in a tubular form for guiding the tube (2) as described above from the above-described end toward the other end.
Disclosed is a chlorine dioxide generating composition which generates chlorine dioxide through a reaction between a chlorite and an acid. Specifically disclosed is a chlorine dioxide generating composition containing a solid chlorite, a solid acid and a solid slow moisture release agent which is capable of slowly releasing the moisture content held therein.
Disclosed is a countermeasure against the infection with a floating virus, which is characterized by supplying a chlorine dioxide gas to a space suspected of the presence of a floating virus to such an extent that the concentration of the chlorine dioxide gas in the space becomes a concentration at which an animal can survive but the floating virus is deactivated.
A method of controlling floating virus infection. The method includes the step of: supplying chlorine dioxide gas into a space where floating virus can be present by a gas concentration which allows the animal to live or stay, but deactivates the virus.
