Abstract

A treatment method is capable of degrading or sterilizing harmful substances or microorganisms of which the degradation, detoxification, or the like is not easy for ozone gas alone. A harmful substance treatment method is one that makes ozone gas act on harmful substances, microorganisms, or the like in an environment humidified using a surfactant solution. The harmful substances include anticancer drugs. As a surfactant to be used, a non-ionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant, or an amphoteric surfactant can be used.

Abstract

Provided is a treatment method whereby a harmful substance or a microorganism, which can be hardly degraded, made harmless, etc. with ozone gas alone, can be degraded or sterilized. The method for treating a harmful substance comprises treating a harmful substance, a microorganism, etc. with ozone gas in an environment having been humidified using an aqueous surfactant solution. As the harmful substance, an anticancer agent is included within the scope thereof. As the surfactant to be used therein, a nonionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, a cationic surfactant or an amphoteric surfactant can be used.

Abstract

A CT value controller includes a storage means, an input means, and a computing means. The storage means stores a function expressing a relative humidity and a CT value regarding a degradation degree of an anticancer agent, an assumed relative humidity, and a CT setting. The input means inputs a measured relative humidity and a measured ozone concentration at a time of degradation treatment of the anticancer agent. The computing means calculates a corrected CT value increment based on a difference between the measured relative humidity and the assumed relative humidity at every input of the relative humidity and the ozone concentration by using the function. The computing means determines a termination of the degradation treatment of the anticancer agent when an integrated CT value of the corrected CT value increments reaches the CT setting.

Abstract

Provided is a safety cabinet configured so that a work room can be decontaminated by circulating ozone gas within the work room while the leakage of the ozone gas from the work room during the decontamination can be prevented. A safety cabinet is provided with: a cabinet body (1); a shutter (4) capable of opening and closing an opening (3) in communication with a work room (2); a gas discharge passage (6) for discharging gas from the work room (2); a gas discharge valve (B2) provided in the gas discharge passage (6); a fan (P1) for supplying air and for circulation, which is provided in the work room (2); an ozone generator (13) for introducing ozone gas into the work room (2); a control unit (10) for controlling the gas discharge valve (B2), the fan (P1) for supplying air and for circulation, and the ozone generator (13); and a gastight closure means (30) capable of gas-tightly closing the opening (3) by means of the shutter (4). Gas within the work room (2) can circulate therein, and consequently the work room can be decontaminated on the basis of a set CT value by means of the ozone gas by circulating the ozone gas within the work room while the leakage of the ozone gas is prevented.

Abstract

There are provided an anticancer agent degradation method for protecting medical professionals from exposure to an anticancer agent externally scattered in, for example, a safety cabinet or prescription laboratory, during drug preparation or other circumstance, and an anticancer agent degradation apparatus for use with this anticancer agent degradation method. Anticancer agent flyoff in a safety cabinet, etc. is degraded by exploiting an action of ozone-containing air humidified by humidifying means. A relative humidity of humidified ozone-containing air is preferably greater than or equal to 80%. In controlling degradation treatment on the basis of CT values, a difference between expected humidity and measured humidity is reflected in an increment of CT value to understand the progress of anticancer agent degradation properly.

Abstract

Provided are an anticancer decomposition method for protecting medical professionals from an anticancer agent scattering to the outside (for example, a safety cabinet or prescription laboratory) in the course of drug preparation, etc., and an anticancer decomposition device to be used in the decomposition method. An anticancer agent scattering to a safety cabinet, etc. is decomposed by treating with ozone-containing humidified air that has been humidified using a humidification means. The relative humidity of the ozone-containing humidified air is preferably 80% or higher. When the decomposition treatment is controlled on the basis of CT value, the difference between an assumed humidity and a measured humidity is reflected on an increase in the CT value so as to accurately grasp the progress of the decomposition of the anticancer agent.
