Abstract

Provided is a double-needle lockstitch sewing machine with which it is possible to easily sew a fabric rolled in tubular shape by double-row lockstitching. The double-needle lockstitch sewing machine comprises: a pair of needles (9) that reciprocate in a vertical direction; a pair of loop catchers (40) which are arranged respectively in correspondence to the pair of needles (9), and which rotate about a hook shaft (41) extending in the vertical direction to catch a loop of needle thread formed by the needles (9); a lower shaft (20) which is arranged forwardly, in a fabric-feeding direction, of the needles (9) and the loop catchers (40), extends in a horizontal direction, and rotates in conjunction with a main shaft (10) that drives the needles (9); and a connecting shaft (30) which extends in the fabric-feeding direction and is connected to the lower shaft (20) and the hook shaft (41) in a power-transmittable manner to rotate. The loop catchers (40) are rotationally driven in conjunction with the vertical movement of the needles (9) as the rotating force of the lower shaft (20) is transmitted via the connecting shaft (30) to the hook shaft (41). In this way, it is possible to sew a tubular article with two rows of lockstitch seams.

Abstract

A system for multidirectional electromagnetic wave irradiation of an object to be processed has at least one of a side face irradiation prism system capable of irradiating a top face and one, two or more side faces of the object, and a bottom face irradiation prism system capable of irradiating a bottom face of the object. The side face irradiation prism system has an optical path direction changing prism placed so that each of the optical paths through which electromagnetic waves entering the optical path from above travel extends via the optical path direction changing prism to reach the side face of the object, without being obstructed. In this way, a laser machining apparatus or the like can be implemented which can simultaneously irradiate the faces of the object to be processed with electromagnetic waves with accuracy without moving the object to be processed.
