Abstract

[Problem] The present invention relates to a new pump unit which is capable of preventing an impact and vibration which are generated when a pump for discharging (filling) a capsule liquid is in operation at a high speed while manufacturing a capsule by coating the capsule liquid with an outer coating part, expanding a length of time of capsule liquid discharge and an actual fillable area, and controlling a discharge pressure which may increase during a high-speed rotation. [Solution] According to the pump unit of the present invention, an end of a plunger pin is extended to protrude out of a pump chamber, and receives driving by a shifter at the protruding portion for a reciprocating movement in the pump chamber. The shifter comprises a rotating pendulum lever, and the plunger pin reciprocates in the pump chamber due to a reciprocating rotation of the pendulum lever.

Abstract

A control system may be provided for a controlled system such as a drive or inverter system. To provide for control in such system, a master controller may be present to receive, via a second communication protocol from a cabinet controller coupled to the master controller, status information of a controlled device, generate control information based at least in part on the status information, and transmit the control information to the cabinet controller via the second communication protocol. In turn, the cabinet controller can generate and communicate a control packet to the controlled device via a first communication protocol. This packet can be interleaved within another message communicated from the cabinet controller to the device.

Abstract

Disclosed is a novel manufacturing method, which is a manufacturing procedure wherein a capsule is formed by combining starch, λ-carrageenan, metallic salt, a plasticiser, and water as the structural component composition for the raw materials for the outer-skin part of the capsule, and which has enhanced the drying ability of conventional rotary-die type soft capsule manufacturing methods, enabling the water content of a capsule outer-skin sheet to be freely adjusted, and which also has improved the previously problematic post-formation hardness-stability of the capsule. In the disclosed soft capsule manufacturing method a capsule is formed by combining starch, λ-carrageenan, metallic salt, a plasticiser, and water as the structural component composition for the raw materials for the outer-skin part of the capsule. In addition to being a novel method wherein trisodium citrate is mixed as the metallic salt, the method is characterised by the introduction to conventional rotary-die type automatic soft capsule manufacturing methods of a drying procedure for the capsule outer-skin sheet using medium wavelength infra-red radiation, thus enhancing drying ability and enabling the water content of the capsule outer-skin sheet to be freely adjusted.

Abstract

[PROBLEMS] To provide a novel process for capsule production in which a conventional rotary-die type automatic soft-capsule production technique which has been modified so as to have an enhanced drying ability is used to enable the water content of a capsule shell sheet to be regulated at will. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] The process employs an apparatus which comprises: a sheet formation part in which a raw shell material in a molten state is formed into a shell sheet having an almost constant thickness; a capsule formation part in which the shell sheet is fed to the nip between a pair of die rolls to bond the shell sheet; and a filling supply part in which a filling is supplied to the shell sheet simultaneously with the bonding. By the process, a soft capsule comprising a shell part formed from the shell sheet and the filling covered with the shell part is produced. The process is characterized in that the sheet formation part has a dryer equipped with a medium-wavelength infrared heater, and that the shell sheet is irradiated with medium-wavelength infrared rays by the heater to regulate the shell sheet so as to have an almost constant thickness, moderate viscosity, and moderate water content and this sheet is fed to the capsule formation part.
