Abstract

[Problem] To ensure thermal uniformity in a kryptol grain area. [Solution] A furnace-body refractory 3 is provided in the interior of a cylindrical furnace shell 2. Three power supply terminals 4 are arranged at a 120° interval on the inner side of the furnace shell 2. The inner side of the furnace-body refractory 3 and the power supply terminals 4 are filled with kryptol grains so as to provide a kryptol grain area 5. A dissolved raw material M is charged from above the center of the kryptol grain area 5. The power supply terminals 4 each have: an electrode plate 10 which has an arc-like cross-section and is in contact with the outer circumference of the kryptol grain area 5; and a power supply rod 11 in which one end is joined to the electrode plate 10 and the other end protrudes outward from the furnace shell 2. Further, a carrier gas supply means is provided for supplying, by means of the power supply rod 11, a carrier gas such that the carrier gas is discharged upward toward the dissolved raw material M, passing through the kryptol grain area 5.
