The first portion of the housing is rotatable relative to the second portion of the housing about an axis of rotation so as to move the platform between a first position, in which substantially the entire length of the cosmetic product applicator is situated within the tubular housing so as to prevent its removal from the housing, and a second position, in which a portion of the cosmetic applicator projects outwardly from the tubular housing so as to permit its removal from the housing.
