BOUNDARY DEFINITION FOR AUTONOMOUS MACHINE WORK REGION
A boundary of a work region is defined in which an autonomous machine is to operate. A dead zone is defined in the work region wherein a loss of a wireless geolocation service is known or predicted. A traversal pattern within the boundary is autogenerated. The autonomous machine executes the traversal pattern to perform work using the wireless geolocation service to navigate outside of the dead zone. When encountering the dead zone before, during, or after executing the traversal pattern, the machine prioritizes a localization input that does not rely on the wireless geolocation service to perform the work in the dead zone.

AUTONOMOUS GROUND CARE MACHINE WITH MANUAL PATH RECOVERY
An autonomous work vehicle includes a user interface that is accessible by an operator to manually control the vehicle. A controller of the vehicle is operable to access a planned path and cause a traction unit of the vehicle to move along the planned path during autonomous work. The controller detects an unplanned event during the autonomous work that prevents the autonomous work vehicle from autonomously traversing a section of the planned path. In response to the operator taking manual control over the traction unit to traverse the section of the planned path, the controller provides a directional indicator via the user interface during the manual control that indicates a direction of the planned path relative to a current position of the work vehicle.

MANAGING WORKFLOW FOR AUTONOMOUS WORK MACHINE OR FLEET THEREOF
An autonomous work vehicle is scheduled to perform work at the work site according to an initial work plan. The initial work plan estimates a scheduled end time for the work. Due to various inputs, such as a signal from a worker, an environmental condition, or the like, a completion time is determined that is different than the scheduled end time. During or after the autonomous work vehicle works the work site, a signal is sent to the autonomous work vehicle to complete work at an adjusted end time different than the scheduled end time based on the manual completion time. The initial work is plan adjusted such that the autonomous work vehicle finishes the work by the adjusted end time.
A walk reel mower can have a traction frame which carries a traction drive to self-propel the traction frame over the ground by driving laterally spaced transport wheels rotatably carried on the traction frame. The walk reel mower can further have a reel cutting unit having a rotatable cutting reel that is rotated by a reel drive in a first direction for pushing grass against a bedknife for cutting the grass. The traction frame of the walk reel mower can be positioned relative to a support surface such that the transport wheels are placed out of driving contact with the support surface. The traction drive can be operated while the reel drive is inoperative to cause an idler wheel to drive the cutting reel in a second direction to conduct a backlapping operation while the cutting reel is being driven in the second direction.
