Abstract

The invention relates to a method for increasing the surface tension on biaxially stretched films made of thermoplastic polymers. According to said method, a film is first treated on a surface by means of an atmospheric pressure plasma before being stretched transversally or simultaneously across the width thereof, and the film is additionally subjected to a second treatment by means of a corona or flame after being stretched transversally or simultaneously, said second treatment being done on the same surface which has already been plasma-treated.

The invention relates to a coextruded, multilayer and biaxially-oriented polypropylene film, which comprises at least one first sealable outer layer and at least one vacuolate layer having a thickness of at least 5 µm, whereby said film is manufactured from coextruded layers by laminating, pasting, printing, varnishing and/or coating. During manufacturing, drying or hardening is carried out by an electron-beam hardening method and the vacuolate layer has a thickness of at least 5 µm. Hot tack is not reduced by electron-beam processing.

Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the transverse drawing of an unoriented or longitudinally-oriented film web made from thermoplastic plastic. According to said method, an undrawn or longitudinally-drawn film (8) is introduced into a transverse drawing frame in which heater fields (1) are heated to a transverse drawing temperature TQ, in the attached drawing fields (2) a clip chain is drawn in the transverse direction by divergent (V-shaped) guides and a temperature TF is applied to fixing fields where TQ ᡶ TF. In the drawing fields and/or the heating fields (1) the boundary zones (5) of the film (8) are heated or thermally insulated such that the boundary zones (5) of the film (8) have a higher temperature than the middle of the film web (6) on transverse drawing and/or fixing.
