Abstract
Provided is a drill head manufacturing method, in which the features of a CVD method can be effectively utilized by applying a CVD coating treatment, at the time of a drill head manufacture which can adopt only the PVD coating treatment in the prior art, thereby to elongate the tool lifetime and to manufacture a drill head suited for a high-speed cutting operation. The drill head manufacturing method comprises soldering a cutting tip (2) CVD-coated with a hard material to an essential portion of the tip side of a head body (1), polishing the outer diameter portions (OD) of the soldered tip (2) around the rotation axis (G) of the head body (1), and then PVD-coating the cutting tip (2) and the head body (1) with a hardening material at a temperature lower than that for soldering.

Abstract
Provided is a deep-hole boring throwaway tip of three-time symmetry, which can be applied as a central blade for a drill head to both a whole cutting type and a non-cutting core folding-off type. The deep-hole boring throwaway tip is formed into a thick plate type having such a three-time symmetry that three sections (P1 - P3) divided at a center angle of 120 degrees are identically shaped. The blade edge (1) to confront in the boring direction when the tip is mounted in drill heads (D1 and D2) forms an angle shape corresponding to a first section (P1) with a shorter inner blade (11) and a longer outer blade (12), and the outer blade (12) is constituted of two continuous blade portions of a crest-side outer blade portion (12a) of a smaller outer blade angle (β1) and a foot-side outer blade portion (12b) of a larger outer blade angle (β2).

Abstract
Provided is a deep-hole boring drill head, in which a blade tip is mounted to face the chip-discharging port of a head tip face, and in which a hollow inside is made into a chip-discharging passage to communicate with the chip-discharging port. The deep-hole boring drill head can acquire a high cutting efficiency on the basis of the excellent chip dischargeability, and the cutting blade itself has an easily workable shape. The deep-hole boring drill head is constituted such that the inner end (20a) of the blade edge (20) of a central cutting blade tip (2A) is so spaced from a head axis (O) as to form a non-cutting zone (Z) near the head axis (O), and such that the inner side face of the central cutting blade tip (2A) forms an inclined face (21) inclined from the blade edge side to the head axis (O). In the cutting operation, the non-cutting core (C) of a cutting work (W), which is formed in the non-cutting zone (Z), is folded off by the forced contact of the inclined face (21) of the cutting blade tip (2A).

Abstract
This aims to provide a system for monitoring the supply pressure of a coolant thereby to interrupt the deep-hole boring operation of a deep-hole boring apparatus, if troubled, reliably so that the deep-hole boring apparatus can be used efficiently even in the operation to bore a deep hole of a small diameter. The deep-hole boring apparatus control system comprises the deep-hole boring apparatus (1) for working a workpiece (W), a pump mechanism (2) for feeding a coolant (C) to the deep-hole boring apparatus (1), a pressure sensor (4) for monitoring the supply pressure of the coolant (C) fed from the pump mechanism (2), and a control device (7). When the deep-hole boring apparatus (1) works the workpiece (W), the control device (7) presets what value of the supply pressure of the coolant (C) monitored by the pressure sensor (4) is not abnormal. If the preset value is exceeded by the value of the supply pressure of the coolant (C) monitored by the pressure sensor (4), the control device (7) decides that the deep-hole boring apparatus (1) has been troubled, and generates an abnormal signal to interrupt the working of the workpiece (W).

A gun drill (G1) comprises a hollow shank (1) having a V-groove (11) along the length in the outer peripheral surface, a tubular driver (3) into which the rear end (1b) of the hollow shank (1) is inserted and secured, a cutting head (2) secured to the front end (1a) of the hollow shank (3). A coolant (C) introduced into the tubular driver (3) is passed through the inside of the hollow shank (1) and supplied to the cut portion through the coolant discharge hole (21) of the cutting head (2) and discharged through the V-groove (11) together with the cuttings (S). The hollow shank (1) has the V-groove (11) over the full length, a groove closing piece (8) for closing the V-groove (11) by filling in the V-groove (11) with the groove closing piece (8) is secured to the rear end (1b) inserted into the tubular driver (3) of the hollow shank (11).

Abstract
Disclosed is a means for preventing the formation of a spiral mark in the inner side surface of a through-hole and achieving excellent appearance of the through-hole and high machining accuracy in the formation of the through-hole in a machining material by means for a drill-head equipped with a brazed cutting blade. A through-hole (H) is formed on a machining material (W) by means of a drill-head (1A) equipped with cutting blades (3A-3C) brazed onto blade mounting seats (13a-13c). The drill-head (1A) has a rounded portion (R) in an outer blade edge (31a) of the cutting blade (3A) for cutting the outermost peripheral area of the machining material (W).
