Abstract

The present disclosure relates to a gene that controls parthenocarpy and uses thereof. Specifically, according to the disclosure, when the SlTPP4 gene in a plant is knocked down/knocked out, the plant may form parthenocarpic fruits. When the expression of the SlTPP4 gene g of the present disclosure is inhibited to induce parthenocarpy, the fruit formation rate is 90%, and the parthenocarpic plant exhibits facultative parthenocarpy, and thus may also form normal seeded fruits when pollination occurs. In addition, fruiting occurs well even in a high temperature stress environment.

Abstract

The disclosed embodiment provides a technology for determining optimized variables in routing based on deterministic cluster. Existing technologies only optimize the number of clusters in stochastic-based routing, so there is a limitation in optimizing variables in routing based on deterministic cluster. In the disclosed embodiment, the amount of energy consumed by the head node and the member nodes may be calculated using a mathematical equation that uses the number of clusters as a variable to derive the optimum number of clusters that minimizes the sum thereof. In addition, in the disclosed embodiment, the most efficient formation of clusters may be determined based on the maximum density packing method. Thus, the disclosed embodiment may maximize the lifespan of a wireless network by maximizing energy efficiency through optimization of variables. Therefore, the present invention has superior competitiveness compared to existing technologies.

Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for collecting runoff water, comprises body section having an open inlet at its upper part and an interior space for accommodating runoff water, and a buoyant member installed inside the body section, which floats due to buoyancy generated by the runoff water introduced into the body section. When the buoyant member, floated by the runoff water introduced into the body section, seals the open upper surface of the body section, the inlet includes a cap member with a vertically penetrating opening. The device according to the present invention, due to its structure, is a convenient and efficient tool for collecting runoff water. In particular, it can collect only a predetermined amount of runoff water during rainfall while blocking additional inflow, making it highly effective for applications requiring the collection of initial runoff water.

Abstract

The present invention presents a location-based deterministic cluster routing technology that improves energy efficiency in wireless sensor networks. Existing random cluster-based routing technologies allocate the number of clusters and nodes for each round based on probability, but this random algorithm requires unnecessary messages and causes inefficient load balancing. On the other hand, the present invention proposes optimal routing between the head node and the sensing nodes for K clusters for each round by specifying the location of the sensing nodes. As a result, it is possible to innovate load balancing and at the same time extend network lifespan, thereby providing superior competitiveness, compared to existing technologies.

Abstract

The importance of architectural asymmetry is investigated to improve the output voltage of TENGs with polyester/spandex blend three-dimensional (3D) spacer fabrics. Different types of TENGs are fabricated by stacking the 3D spacer fabrics, polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) films, and electrodes with different stack configurations. The 3D spacer fabric TENGs fabricated with higher architectural asymmetry show higher output voltages than those fabricated with lower architectural asymmetry. In particular, the TENG with the PDMS/fabric/fabric configuration shows the highest peak-to-peak output voltage among all types. An increase in the TENG output voltage is attributed to the relatively high architectural asymmetry in the device configuration and the relatively high effective density of triboelectric charge.

Abstract

2O. This organization controls that of a semiconductor film. On the other hand, the same treatment of a copper electrode with BPS molecules does not function due to the disorganization of both the BPS self-assembled monolayer (SAM) and the DNTT film. These results suggest that a monolayer of dipole-oriented molecules lowers an injection barrier and determines the semiconductor organization, thereby improving the performance of derived electronic parts.

Abstract

A flexible triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) has attracted much attention due to its environmentally friendly, practical, and cost-producing advantages. Flexible electrodes are required to fabricate a fully flexible TENG device. Electrical properties of porous polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) sponge-based flexible TENGs with two types of flexible electrodes including copper and carbon nanotube (CNT)-PDMS were compared. Output voltages and maximum power densities of the PDMS sponge-based flexible TENGs with the copper and CNT-PDMS electrodes were compared. The voltage and the power density of the PDMS sponge-based flexible TENG with the CNT-PDMS electrodes were shown to be improved compared to the copper electrodes. The output voltage and the maximum power density of the PDMS sponge-based flexible TENG with the CNT-PDMS electrodes increased 4 times and 7 times, respectively, compared to the PDMS sponge-based flexible TENG with the copper electrodes because electrical conductivity is higher and electricity more stably flows in CNTs than in copper.

Abstract

A triboelectric nanogenerator (TENG) using a 3D-spacer fabric and polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) shows great application potential for biokinetic energy harvesting and a multifunctional self-power device. In the present disclosure, a TENG with a fabric-PDMS-fabric structure is fabricated using diverse three-dimensional (3D) fabrics and PDMS. Peak-to-peak output voltages of the diverse 3D-spacer fabrics are compared. The output voltages are changed due to structures and vertical fibers. In addition, a coefficient of surface friction between PDMS and fabric improves the output voltage. TENGs using different 3D-spacer polymeric fabrics show different maximum peak-to-peak output voltage performances. This is due to the stiffness, lateral elasticity, and 3D morphology of the fabrics. It is considered that those factors including the stiffness, the lateral elasticity, and the 3D morphology influence the densities in vertical and lateral fiber-to-fiber interaction.

Abstract

Provided are a polymer thin-film transistor and a method of fabricating the same. Donor-acceptor copolymer-based field-effect transistors (FETs) have attracted considerable attention from technological and academic perspectives due to their low band gap, high mobility, low cost, easy solution processability, flexibility, and stretchability. Large-area films can be formed through meniscus-guided coating among various solution-processing techniques. 29-Diketopyrrolopyrrole-selenophene vinylene selenophene (29-DPP-SVS) donor-acceptor copolymer-based FETs have already shown excellent performance due to their short π-π stacking distance and strong π-π interaction. Charge carrier mobility of these types of semiconductor materials significantly depends on an applied electric field. Accordingly, detailed analysis of the electric-field dependency of charge carrier mobility is necessary to understand the transport mechanism within the material. Therefore, 29-DPP-S VS-based FETs are fabricated by varying the blade coating (BC) speed of a semiconductor layer. The effect of the BC speed on the electrical characteristics of the FETs is studied through the analysis of electric-field-dependent mobility. The results show that the charge carrier mobility of different FETs depends on the applied electric field and that the type of dependency is Poole-Frenkel. At an optimized BC speed (2 mm s−1), the device shows maximum zero-field mobility (3.39 cm2V−1s−1) due to the low trap density within the conductive channel.
