Dielectric composite with reinforced elastomer and integrate electrode
The present disclosure is directed to dielectric elastomeric composites that include a retainable processing membrane, an elastomer material, and an electrically conductive material. The elastomer layer may be partially imbibed into the retainable processing membrane. The retainable processing membrane may be porous. The compaction of the retainable processing membrane may form structured folds or folded fibrils in the membrane, giving the retainable processing membrane a low modulus and flexibility. In some embodiments, the dielectric composites are positioned in a stacked configuration. Alternatively, the dielectric elastomeric composites may have a wound configuration. The dielectric composites have a total thickness less than about 170 μm. The dielectric elastomeric composites may be used, for example, in dielectric elastomer actuators, sensors, and in energy harvesting.

Abstract
An assembly (1) for protecting an acoustic device comprises an expanded polytetrafluorethylene (ePTFE) membrane (3) and first and second polymeric substrates (2, 4) disposed on opposing sides (5, 6) of the membrane (3). The first substrate (2) is transmissive for laser light of a predetermined wavelength, and the membrane (3) is joined to the first and second substrates (2, 4) by first and second laser weld joints (9, 10) on the first side (5) of the membrane (3) and the second side (6) of the membrane (3), respectively, that are created in a single laser transmission welding step through the first polymeric substrate (2) towards the second polymeric substrate (4). The first side (5) of the membrane (3) may be at least partially absorbent for the laser light and the second side (6) may be at least partially transmissive for the laser light. This may be achieved by a color gradient from black to white from the first side (5) to the second side (6).
A check valve (1) for a through hole in a compartment wall (100) comprises an elastic membrane (20) covering an open end (16) of a flow passage (14), a base (11) to which the elastic membrane (20) is fixed, and a protector (30) covering at least a portion of the elastic membrane (20), wherein the elastic membrane is fixed to the base in a state where it is elastically stretched over and forced against a sealing surface (17) surrounding the open end (16) so as to seal the flow passage (14). The elastic membrane lifts from the sealing surface when the pressure in the flow passage is high. The elastic membrane may be air- or gas-permeable and, preferably, waterproof so as to impart a low pressure venting functionality to the check valve.

down) from the downstream end. The first and second distances each amount to more than 10% of an overall length of the filter cassette. The mounting face may be positioned centrally between the upstream and downstream ends, approximately in a barycenter line of the filter cassette. The filter cassette thus extends to both sides of the partition opening. Filter surface area is increased and torque induced by the filter cassette into the partition is reduced.

5 Pa in accordance with the Dahlquist criterion. The bonding substance may also contain a second component having adhesive characteristics. The first component also has a low viscosity such that a force (F) between the first and second layers which acts on at least one of the layers in a force action area is distributed by a plastic flow onto an area which is larger than the force action area.

Polymer coatings comprising a complex of an ionic fluoropolyether and a counter ionic agent
The present invention relates to an article comprising a polymeric substrate and a coating thereon comprising a complex of an ionic fluoropolyether and a counter-ionic agent, to a process for the production of a coating on a polymeric substrate comprising the steps of a) preparing a mixture of an ionic fluoropolyether or a precursor thereof and a counter-ionic agent of a precursor thereof and b) applying the mixture prepared in step a) onto the substrate, to the use of such articles for the manufacture of a garment, a filter element, a venting element or a protective enclosure, to the use of a coating composition comprising a complex of an ionic fluoropolyether and a counter-ionic agent for coating of a polymeric substrate, and to the use of a coating composition comprising a complex of an ionic fluoropolyether and a counter-ionic agent as an antimicrobial or antifungal coating of a substrate.
Disclosed is a piece of garment, e.g. in the form of a glove, comprising an outer layer that encloses at least one interior space which is provided with an opening for accommodating a body part such as a hand and is subdivided into at least two adjoining chambers. Each chamber encompasses at least one chamber opening that is arranged in the opening of the interior space and selectively accommodates the body part such as a hand. The material of each chamber can be constructed with at least one layer of protective material which can be provided with an insulating material, a functional layer material, a cut-resistant material, a heat-resistant and/or a flame-proof material, for example. The inventive design allows the user of the glove to selectively put his/her hand into one of the chambers that are provided, according to the desired protective effect, while the unused chamber lies in the interior space in a compressed manner.
Sole (100; 200; 300; 400) comprising a support layer (101; 201; 301; 401) having at least one region (103; 203; 303; 403) which allows the passage of air through said layer (101; 201; 301; 401), characterized in that it comprises one or more reinforcing elements (111; 211, 311; 411) joined to one side of said layer (101; 201; 301; 401) in said at least one region (103; 203; 303, 403) and perforated with through-openings (113; 213; 313; 413) for evacuating the air which passes through said region; and a membrane (117; 290, 390; 417) made of material which is waterproof and vapor-permeable, situated above said at least one region (103; 203; 303, 403) on the side of said layer (101; 201; 301, 401) opposite to said elements (111; 211, 311; 411) and sealed with said layer (101; 201; 301; 401) at least along one contour (115; 215; 305) around said at least one region (103; 203; 303; 403).
A flat cable having at least two conductor planes, in which a number of electrical conductors running in the longitudinal direction of the cable are arranged, in which the electrical conductors in the flat cable thickness direction and/or in the flat cable width direction are kept at a defined distance from each other by means of a central insulation layer of predetermined thickness acting as a spacer insulator and are electrically insulated and positioned relative to each other and to the flat cable exterior by means of an outer insulation layer.
