Described is a screw cap (1, 40), intended for closing off an opening (27) of a container (20), comprising: • a closing member (38) and • a casing (4) that is movable relative to the closing member, the casing having a substantially circular casing wall (5) with an interior side (5A) having internal thread (10) and an exterior side (5B), wherein the closing member at least comprises: a closing element (6), comprising a lid member (13) for closing off the opening of the container in a sealing manner, fixation means (7) configured for attaching the closing member around the opening of the container at least a connection lip (33) that is connected to the closing element so as to hinge, which connection lip is located between the closing element and the fixation means, as a result of which in the opened state of the screw cap the closing element can be moved so as to hinge relative to the external thread and the fixation means, wherein the casing comprises: a first passage stop (17) cooperating with the closing element, such that axial movement of the casing to beyond the closing element is prevented.

Abstract

Described is a method for the preparation of an article, in particular a biodegradable article,from a thermoplastic composition comprising starch by thermoforming, comprising the steps of providing a sheet of the thermoplastic composition in rubber phase at a temperature of at least 100°C, stretching the sheet into or onto a mould,cooling the sheet to form the article,remove the article from the mould,wherein the mould in step b. has a temperature of 5°C or less, the sheet in step c. is cooled to a temperature of 40°C or less, steps b. and c. being performed in 10 s. or less. Further, a thermoformed article, obtainable by the said method and the use of such an article is described.

Abstract

The invention relates to a container for packaging products, in particular fresh products such as meat products. The container comprises a container body with a product space for accommodating a product and a receiving space at least for receiving liquid, preferably liquid from the product. The container body according to the invention comprises partition means that separate the product space and the receiving space from each other. The partition means comprise at least one outlet opening configured to at least discharge liquid from the product space to the receiving space.
