Provided is a W/O-type emulsion ink composition for a writing utensil in which an aqueous component is dispersed in an oil component, wherein the oil component comprises a fluorescent colorant, and the aqueous component comprises a fluorescent whitener and water.
The writing ink composition of the present invention includes: an oil-based component containing a polar solvent and a spinnability imparting agent; and a water-based component containing water, polyhydric alcohol, a thixotropy imparting agent and a pigment, the water-based component being dispersed in the above oil-based component.
To prevent faint writing or writing failure from occurring during a writing operation due to back shock and to reduce shock sound by using a simple structure, a pressure contact member protrudes from one surface or both surfaces on the side of a shaft tube and a knock body so as to come into sliding contact with each other, parts on the side of the shaft tube and the knock body being opposed to each other in a radial direction. Accordingly, even when the part on the side of the knock body retreats with respect to the part on the side of the shaft tube in terms of a releasing operation, a retreat speed of an ink tank becomes slow due to a friction resistance of the pressure contact member, and thus back shock remarkably reduces. As a result, ink does not flow to the ink tank in a reverse direction due to air introduced from a writing tip portion, and shock sound generated when the retreating ink tank returns to a normal position reduces.

A writing ink composition comprising an oil component containing a polar solvent and a stringiness imparting agent and, dispersed therein, an aqueous component containing water, a polyhydric alcohol, a thixotropy imparting agent and a pigment.
A joining member for connecting an ink-holding member to be set in a ballpoint pen to a ballpoint pen tip. It comprises, as a constituent material, a resin comprising a copolymer of polyethylene terephthalate and polyethylene naphthalate. This joining member for ballpoint pens is sufficiently excellent especially in both of transparency and gas-barrier properties.
A retractable writing implement in which faint writing and writing failure due to back shock are prevented and impact noise is reduced by a simple structure. Pressure contact means (5) brought into slidable contact with each other are formed by projecting one toward the other of a shaft tube (1) and a knock body (2) or projecting them toward each other on the surfaces facing each other in the radial direction. Since the retreating speed of an ink tank (3) is reduced by the frictional resistance by the pressure contact means (5) even if the knock body (2) is retreated from the shaft tube (1) by releasing operation, the back shock is remarkably reduced, and air is prevented from flowing through a writing tip part (3a) to reversely flow the ink to the ink tank (3). The impact noise caused when the retreating ink tank (3) is returned to a specified position can be reduced.
