Abstract

The invention relates to a shed comprising a defecating region (1), in particular a shed for holding pigs which has a defecating region (1), and a rest region (15), a feeding region (16) and an activity region. The invention addresses the problem of enabling animals husbandry while avoiding a slatted floor, in such a way that the animals are provided with a pleasant species-appropriate environment. The floor of the defecating region (1), is formed according to the invention by the upper run (3A) of a conveyor belt, through which urine produced can pass. A collecting trough (10) for the urine is arranged under the upper run of the conveyor belt, from which collecting trough said urine is guided away and directed into a urine collection container arranged preferably outside the shed. In addition, an excrement scraper is associated with the conveyor belt in the region of the rear deflection (4) thereof, which during forward movement thereof strips off excrement on the conveyor belt onto a discharge conveyor belt such that a there is separation of excrement and urine. According to the invention and for the well-being of the animals, the defecating region (1) is cleaned in an automatically controlled manner so that hygiene can also be improved. In addition, on the basis of an immediate separation of urine and excrement, it is possible to reduce harmful emissions, in particular in the form of ammonia. In addition, the separation of urine and excrement results in the possibility of environmentally-friendly treatment and recycling of urine and excrement.

Abstract

A conveyor for shock-sensitive products includes a conveyor member with at least one intermediate storage region adapted to receive a predetermined number of the products placed thereon when the conveyor is a static condition for temporary intermediate storage. A force measuring member determines the weight force of the products in the intermediate storage region. A control member, adapted to increase and decrease the rate of feed of the shock-sensitive products in the conveyor member, processes the weight force detected by the force measuring member as an input parameter, and increases or reduces the rate of feed of the products toward and away from the intermediate storage region as a function of the weight force.

Abstract

An air supply shutter for ventilating closed buildings includes a marginal frame with interconnected upper, lower and lateral frame members to define a centrally disposed air vent opening having inlet and outlet sides. A shutter flap is pivotally mounted on the frame for rotation about a generally horizontal axis between closed and open positions. A coupler is connected with the shutter flap and configured for engagement with an activator for shifting the shutter flap between the closed and open positions. The upper frame member includes an air guiding wall which is disposed on the outlet side of the air vent opening, faces the air vent opening, and extends upwardly at a predetermined angle to deflect the air flowing through the air vent opening.

Abstract

The invention relates to a poultry cage arrangement for the raising of fattening poultry, comprising: a poultry cage with a poultry holding space enclosed on all sides by boundary walls, in particular railings, and with a floor area; a conveyor apparatus with a conveyor area, which is arranged under the floor area for conveying the poultry held in the poultry cage from the poultry cage to a loading station. The floor area is designed in such a way that said floor area can be moved from a first position, in which said floor area demarcates the poultry holding space from below and presents a standing surface for poultry found therein, into a second position, in which said floor area allows the poultry located in the poultry holding space to be removed from the coop and placed on the conveyor apparatus by no longer offering any support to the poultry found in the poultry cage. According to the invention, the floor area consists of at least one, preferably several, pivotable floor segment(s) which is/are pivotable between the first and the second position.

Abstract

A device and related method for counting objects, such as eggs or the like includes a plurality of first detectors, each of which has a locally delimited detection area, which can detect electromagnetic radiation, in particular light in the visible or infrared range, from the detection area, and which are arranged next to one another in a first line. An evaluation unit is coupled to the first detectors and is designed or configured to process the signals of the detectors and on the basis of the signals, to establish the presence of an object in the detection area.

Abstract

The invention relates to a conveyor arrangement for impact-sensitive products, in particular eggs, comprising a conveyor device for conveying the products, a temporary storage area configured to accommodate the products that have to be temporarily stored after a discontinuous supply or discharge, a control device for increasing the discharge and/or for reducing the supply of products in the temporary storage area of the conveyor device when a predetermined critical number of products in said area is exceeded. The invention is characterized in that a force measuring device is provided, which is configured and arranged in such a way that a force resulting from the products present in the temporary storage area can be detected, said force representing a measure for the number of products present in the temporary storage area. Furthermore, the control device is configured such that it can process the force detected by the force measuring device as an input variable, thereby increasing or reducing the discharge and/or supply of products from/to the temporary storage area in accordance with the value of the force.

Abstract

The invention relates to a conveying device (10) for shock-sensitive products, comprising a belt conveyor with at least one individual compartment (64) for receiving at least one product, an upward-facing belt conveyor section (20) and a downward-facing belt conveyor section (40), and a top deflection mechanism (30, 31) for deflecting the belt conveyor from the upward-facing belt conveyor section to the downward-facing belt conveyor section. The individual compartment is defined by a first surface (61d) for supporting a product that is placed therein when said product is conveyed upwards, a second surface (62e) for supporting a product that is placed therein when the product is conveyed downwards, and a bottom surface (63a) for supporting the product when the belt conveyor is moved across the top deflection mechanism. The bottom surface of the individual compartment is provided with a curvature at least when running through the top deflection mechanism, said curvature being shaped such that a product that is placed in the individual compartment is guided from the first supporting surface to the second supporting surface in such a way when running through the top deflection mechanism that an impact force which is not critical for the product is applied between the product and the second supporting surface.
