Abstract

The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock, in particular a motor vehicle door lock, designed with a locking mechanism (1, 2, 3) consisting of a rotary latch (1) as well as a primary catch pawl (2), which interacts with the rotary latch (1), and a secondary catch pawl (3), which secures the primary catch pawl (2) in the lowered position. Additionally, a trigger lever (5) which acts on the secondary catch pawl (3) is provided. The secondary catch pawl (3) has an at least two-arm design with respect to a rotational axis (6), comprising a blockade arm (3a) which secures the primary catch pawl (2) and at least one actuation arm (3b). According to the invention, the actuation arm (3b), which lies opposite the blockade arm (3a) with respect to the rotational axis (6), is designed to interact with the trigger lever (5) and to entrain the primary catch pawl (2) in a lifting direction when the secondary catch pawl (3) is pivoted.
