Provided is a method for transmitting a printing command for a POS printer, comprising the steps of: receiving printing data including first printing data configured by a first font which can be recognized by the POS printer and second printing data configured by a second font which cannot be recognized by the POS printer, from an application; identifying size change information; generating a first printing command on the basis of a first character string of the first printing data and the size change information; generating a second printing command on the basis of a second character string of the second printing data and the size change information; and transmitting the first printing command and the second printing command to the POS printer.

The present invention relates to a printing apparatus having an automatic status back function, and to a method for controlling same. More particularly, the present invention relates to a technique which detects the status of the printing apparatus for every predetermined status detection cycle, stores the value of the changed status to an automatic status back buffer if the status value of the printing apparatus has changed, checks the automatic status back buffer for every predetermined automatic status back buffer check cycle, and transmits only the most recently changed status value to a host apparatus, to thereby reduce the transmission of unnecessary data to the host apparatus and to reduce data processing loads on the host apparatus.
Disclosed is an auto-cutter which is installed in a roll paper printer which prints a receipt, a barcode, a label or the like on paper and outputs it. The auto-cutter functions to automatically cut a section of roll paper off. A casing is provided in a main body of the roll paper printer. A step motor is installed in the casing and connected to a movable cutting blade through spur gears. Therefore, a paper cutter structure and a full and partial cut structure can be simplified. In particular, the present invention can prevent a cutter jam, thus enhancing reliability of the operation of cutting.
