A driver for a brushless DC electric motor supplies direct voltage to each of two terminals of the individual stator coils to drive the motor. Abstract

A method, a system, and an apparatus of certain embodiments are provided to recover water and carbon dioxide from combustion emissions. The recovery includes, among other things, electrolysis and carbon dioxide capture in a suitable solvent. The recovered water and carbon dioxide are subject to reaction, such as a catalytic methanation reaction, to generate at least methane.

A T-type buck-boost power factor correction (PFC) rectifier (TBPR) comprises a power inductor, first and second storage capacitors, and first, second and third bi-directional switches. Abstract

A reconfigurable metasurface sub reflector comprises an array of cell units. Each sub unit is formed of two sub-unit cells formed with at least two conducting layers separated by a dielectric substrate. One conducting layer has, in each of the sub-unit cells, two parallel strips connected by a varactor and the other conducting layer serves as a ground layer. Setting the reverse biasing for each of the varactors controls the azimuth and elevation of reflection from the reconfigurable metasurface sub reflector.

Abstract

A process of generating an alkyl ester of a fatty acid (e.g., a biodiesel) from a free fatty acid-containing substance (e.g., a feedstock), is provided. The process is effected by contacting a mixture of the free fatty acid-containing substance and a respective alcohol with Lewis Acid; and, while contacting, exposing the mixture and the Lewis acid to ultrasound energy. An alkyl ester of a fatty acid, or a mixture of two or more alkyl esters of fatty acids, (e.g., a biodiesel), obtainable by the process, are also provided.
