METHOD FOR MANAGEMENT OF DEVICE UPDATE TRANSMISSION
A field device is configured to determine whether a device update is to be transmitted to a central server. The field device determines a period of time between an update time and a previous update time and a set of device conditions associated with a user utilization of the field device. The field device utilizes at least one of the period of time and the set of device conditions to determine an update schedule for the field device. The update schedule is determined by the field device utilizing a set of internal criteria that the period of time and the set of device conditions are evaluated against. The field device generates a device update from the set of device conditions and the update schedule and transmits the device update to a central server. The field device, via the device update causes the central server to utilize the update schedule.
A projectile launcher may comprise a propulsion module configured to deploy, or cause deployment of, one or more projectiles. The projectiles may be housed within a magazine coupled within a bay of the projectile launcher. The propulsion module may comprise a distribution module configured to selectively cause deployment of one or more projectiles. The distribution module may be configured to rotate into one or more deployment positions. Each deployment position may align with a separate projectile housed within the magazine. The distribution module may be configured to translate from a resting position to a deployment position.
A projectile is launched from a projectile launcher to disperse a projectile payload proximate to a target. The projectile is comprised of a projectile housing, a primer assembly, and a primer activator. The projectile payload and the primer assembly may be disposed within a housing channel of the projectile housing. The primer assembly is comprised of a primer charge configured to deploy the projectile payload from the projectile housing and a primer activator configured to activate the primer charge. The primer activator may activate the primer charge in response to the first end of the projectile housing contacting a target. Further, the primer charge may cause the projectile payload to be dispersed from the projectile.

The indication may be provided when the weapon is oriented in a direction in which a projectile may be deployed toward a remote location. The indication may be automatically provided when the weapon is disposed in a horizontal direction or a range of angles of the CEW. Methods, systems, and devices may selectively provide the indication in accordance with the position.
A conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) comprises one or more mechanisms for preventing accidental deployment. A cap may be disposed on a first end of the CEW handle. A shorting mechanism may be configured to connect one or more deployment unit contacts and one or more handle contacts. The cap and the shorting mechanism may be ejected or burned through responsive to a safety switch of the CEW being activated by a user of the CEW, such that the cap and shorting mechanism do not interfere with intentional deployment.

The signal generator may be configured to transmit a stimulus signal through the plurality of electrodes. The signal generator may be configured to transmit the stimulus signal before, during, and/or after the housing is launched.
An electrode may be automatically deployed based on a change associated with a conducted electrical weapon. The change may comprise a change in position. The electrode may be automatically deployed after a previous electrode is deployed from the conducted electrical weapon and the change in position is detected. A position of the conducted electrical weapon may be detected via a position sensor included in the conducted electrical weapon. The change in position may include an angle of orientation. The angle of orientation may be determined between a first direction in which the previous electrode was deployed and a current direction in which the conducted electrical weapon is oriented. The change in position may comprise a distance. The distance may be determined between a first spatial location of the conducted electrical weapon at a which the previous electrode was deployed and a current spatial location of the conducted electrical weapon.
A conducted electrical weapon may include an interposer. The interposer may be disposed in a bay of the conducted electrical weapon or may be coupled to a magazine insertable within the bay of the conducted electrical weapon. The interposer may include a cartridge separator. The cartridge separator may logically or physically define a plurality of cartridge compartments. Each cartridge compartment may be configured to receive and align with a cartridge loaded into a magazine.
A conducted electrical weapon (“CEW”) comprises one or more mechanisms for receiving, aligning, and maintaining a position of a magazine within a bay of the CEW. Bias spring and datums may be used to align the magazine to be coupled to the CEW, wherein bias springs are configured to apply pressure to push the magazine to interact with datums to align the magazine. A spring and ramp mechanism may be used to maintain a position of the magazine coupled to the bay of the CEW. Respective grades of a locking ramp and a release ramp are used to lock a spring in place when a magazine is coupled to the bay of the CEW.
A conducted electrical weapon ("CEW") may be subject to one or more environmental factors during operation. The environmental factors may impact normal functionality of the CEW. The CEW may detect an electrical property associated with a component of the CEW. The CEW may retrieve a lockout parameter associated with the component. The CEW may compare the electrical property to the lockout parameter. The CEW may determine a lockout condition based on the comparing. The CEW may perform the lockout condition on the CEW.

Systems involving distributed control functions are described herein. Each member or device within the system has responsibility for controlling part of the system's behavior, and includes logic to determine what action, if any, will follow as a response to determining information or receiving information from other members or devices within the system. A change of status of one member of a system may provide a basis for action by another member of the system. Status may be the result of sensing a condition of the environment, sensing the condition of a component, receiving the output of a conventional sensor, and/or sensing the condition of a link between components. In some embodiments, action taken by a member of the system may include collecting data during law enforcement activities.
G06F 13/10 - Program control for peripheral devices
H04N 21/422 - Input-only peripherals, e.g. global positioning system [GPS]
H04N 21/436 - Interfacing a local distribution network, e.g. communicating with another STB or inside the home
H04N 21/4363 - Adapting the video stream to a specific local network, e.g. a Bluetooth® network
H04W 4/80 - Services using short range communication, e.g. near-field communication [NFC], radio-frequency identification [RFID] or low energy communication
A method of automatic activation of a responder camera to begin capturing a video can be performed by a computing device. The computing device receives an indication of a location or an event. The computing device determines a geographic area associated with the location or event. The computing device receives a dispatch acknowledgement from a responder, where the dispatch acknowledgement indicates that the responder is at the geographic area or that the responder is en route to the geographic area. The computing device automatically sends a camera activation signal to a responder camera associated with the responder in response to receiving the dispatch acknowledgement from the responder. The responder camera is configured to begin capturing a video in response to receiving the camera activation signal.
H04N 23/661 - Transmitting camera control signals through networks, e.g. control via the Internet
G06F 16/735 - Filtering based on additional data, e.g. user or group profiles
G08B 13/196 - Actuation by interference with heat, light, or radiation of shorter wavelengthActuation by intruding sources of heat, light, or radiation of shorter wavelength using passive radiation detection systems using image scanning and comparing systems using television cameras
H04N 5/77 - Interface circuits between an apparatus for recording and another apparatus between a recording apparatus and a television camera
H04N 23/63 - Control of cameras or camera modules by using electronic viewfinders
H04W 76/50 - Connection management for emergency connections
An accountability control system may be configured to provide one or more accountability controls to a payload platform. A payload platform may comprise a device configured to deploy a payload. The accountability controls may comprise one or more of an authentication control, an authorization control, a custody control, or a security analysis control. The accountability controls may restrict or disable access and operations of the payload platform. The accountability controls may also create a chain of custody of operations and events taking place in the accountability control system and the payload platform.
