A vehicle safety barrier (10) for a civil engineering construction, whereby the vehicle safety barrier (10) comprises a plurality of posts (12) arranged to be secured substantially vertically in the ground (14) or another underlying surface (16) at a distance from one another, and at least one cable (18), such as a wire rope. The vehicle safety barrier (10) also comprises a plurality of distancing brackets (20), whereby each distancing bracket (20) is arranged to be attached to, or integrally formed with a post (12) of the plurality of posts (12), and each distancing bracket (20) has a clamping surface (20s) for receiving one or more cable clamps (22). The vehicle safety barrier (10) further comprises a plurality of cable clamps (22) that is arranged to clamp the at least one cable (18) in a manner that substantially prevents a cable (18) from moving relative to a distancing bracket (20), whereby the at least one cable (18) is tensioned between the distancing brackets (20), and the plurality of distancing brackets (20) is arranged to distance the at least one cable (18) from the plurality of posts (12).
Solar panel support structure (10) that comprises a plurality of posts arranged at a distance from each other (12), at least one cable (14) that is tensioned between said posts (12), and a fastening element (22). The fastening element (22) comprises a hook (25) that is arranged to extend around part of a cable's (14) periphery and attachment means (30), such as a screw, a bolt, whereby said fastening element (22) is arranged so that it has the following two fields of use: a) to fasten said cable (14) to one of said posts (12) in a way that prevents said cable (14) from moving relative to said post (12) by fastening said cable (14) between said hook (25) and said post (12) by fastening said fastening element (22) to said post (12) using said attachment means (30), and b) clamping at least one solar panel (16) between said cable (14) and a support surface (32) of a clamping component (34) that is fastened to said fastening element (22) using said attachment means (30) so that the solar panel (16) is mounted on said cable (14) via said fastening element (22).
H02S 20/10 - Supporting structures directly fixed to the ground
F24S 25/50 - Arrangement of stationary mountings or supports for solar heat collector modules comprising elongate non-rigid elements, e.g. straps, wires or ropes
F24S 25/63 - Fixation means, e.g. fasteners, specially adapted for supporting solar heat collector modules for fixing modules or their peripheral frames to supporting elements
F16B 5/06 - Joining sheets or plates to one another or to strips or bars parallel to them by means of clamps or clips
F16L 3/04 - Supports for pipes, cables or protective tubing, e.g. hangers, holders, clamps, cleats, clips, brackets partly surrounding the pipes, cables or protective tubing and pressing it against a wall or other support
A barrier fence for use along the side of a roadway to contain a vehicle that travels off of the roadway into the barrier fence. The fence includes horizontal fence members which are typically cables supported by a plurality of posts supported vertically by the ground. The horizontal fence members are held to the posts with hooks that extend from slots defined by the posts. The horizontal fence members are placed in tension in normal use. Each post has a wide, flat, contact surface across the front of the post for the horizontal fence member to contact on either side of the slot that receives the hook that holds the horizontal fence member. The fence provides posts with flat front surfaces substantially wider than the width of the slot to increase the length of engagement between the post surface and the horizontal fence member.
Solar panel support structure (10) that comprises at least two cables (12) and at least one solar panel (14) that is mounted on said at least two cables (12) via at least one mounting device (16). Said mounting device (16) comprises a support element (24) that extends between said at least two cables (12), and first fastening means (26) for fastening said support element (24) to said at least two cables (12), and a panel (28) that is arranged to be fastened to said support element (24) via second fastening means. At least one edge of said at least one solar panel (14) is arranged to lie against said support element (24) and is clamped between said support element (24) and said panel (28) when said at least one solar panel (14) is mounted on said solar panel support structure (10).
Anchor (18) for tensioning at least one component for a civil engineering construction (14), which anchor (18) is arranged to at least partly be located in the ground/underlying surface (12). The anchor (18) comprises at least one surface (20, 22, 24) that is intended to at least partly be covered with material (25), so that only the weight of said material (25) which acts on said at least one surface (20, 22, 24) gives said anchor (18) the capacity for tensioning said at least one component for a civil engineering construction (14).
