SAW BLADE FOR RECIPROCATING SAWS FOR CUTTING STONE
The invention relates to a saw blade, in particular for reciprocating saws, for cutting stone. The problems of economical saw cut generation in a stone block, composed preferably of hard stone, for raw board production are primarily those of minimizing the cut width at high cutting power, and ensuring low loading of the saw device, such as reciprocating saws. The solution according to the invention to the problems is characterized in that, in a clamped, operationally ready state of the saw blade, its cut-producing narrow side of the cross section of the basic body has in longitudinal extent a curved form deviating from the movement path of the saw in the saw frame, or the connecting line of the working surfaces of the cutting means or cutting elements on the curved narrow side of the basic body is formed so as to deviate from the movement path of the saw.
The invention relates to a rod part (1) having a large longitudinal extension and a closed band part or blade part, in particular a saw blade or a saw band, having increased stiffness and/or dimensional stability and/or strength, which properties are created by recesses (2) introduced in the surface area (11) of the part (1) by means of a stamping tool in the longitudinal direction by pressing in order to form different, local material stresses in the rod or blade (1), described by a person skilled in the art as a part having roller burnishing or stress. In order to keep the properties stable during long-term operation and at high loads of a rod part or blade part, in particular of a saw, according to the invention at least one of the recesses (2) on the rod surface is formed in the longitudinal direction from two spaced impressions (3, 3') extending parallel to each other to form a web (4) between the impression edges (31, 31') with the stipulation that the web surface (41) or the intermediate area between the impressions (3, 3') of the recess is substantially at or above the level of the undeformed rod surface (12) of the part.

Abstract
A bimetallic strip 1 having a portion comprising a supporting strip material 10 and a portion comprising a cutting material 8 is produced by a process comprising the following steps: inserting intermediate sheets 5 comprising the cutting material 8 into a casting mould 3, pouring a molten metal 6 comprising the supporting strip material 10 into the casting mould 3, wherein the intermediate sheets 5 only partially melt and, during solidification, enter into a metallurgical bond with the poured-in supporting strip material 10 and form a cast ingot, removing the cast ingot 12 from the casting mould 3, rolling the cast ingot 12 to form a composite strip 14, wherein the composite strip 14 alternately has portions comprising supporting strip material 10 and portions comprising cutting material 8, and dividing the composite strip 14 through the portions comprising cutting material 8 to form a plurality of bimetallic strips 1. The invention also relates to the use of a bimetallic strip of this kind for producing saw blades, saw bands or coating blades.
