Abstract

Provided herein are methods of forming and optimizing cured features on a surface including controlling the surface upon which the cured features are applied. Additionally, a system for forming and processing the topographical features on the membrane is also described, along with mechanical features at specific system stations. More particularly, provided herein are methods of forming and optimizing topographical features applied to a membrane surface by controlling the membrane surface and by controlling the direction and magnitude of pressure applied to the membrane (substrate), as well as initially partially curing the topographical features, followed by fully curing of the topographical features to form the membrane having topographical spacing features formed thereon.

Abstract

Processes for the anti-corrosion pre-treatment of a plurality of components in series, in which each component in the series at least partly has surfaces of zinc and/or iron and at least parts of these surfaces are firstly activated in a targeted manner for subsequent zinc phosphating are provided with targeted activation achieved by means of controlled dispensing of an aqueous dispersion to wet zinc and/or iron surfaces, thus ensuring resource-saving activation; the aqueous dispersion for activation wetting contains a particulate constituent dispersed in water, which is at least partially composed of hopeite, phosphophyllite, scholzite and/or hureaulite and provided as a dispersion of these crystalline solids, stabilized by at least one polymeric organic compound; followed by a zinc phosphating bath comprising a quantity of an aqueous dispersion, in particular the same aqueous dispersion that is used for activation wetting.

Abstract

Disclosed herein are unit dose detergent compositions and methods of making and using the same. The detergent compositions include a peptide that serves as an effective chlorine scavenger and exhibits a binding affinity to textiles, thereby providing enhanced color care benefits. Additionally, the detergent composition comprises a nonionic surfactant, an anionic surfactant, and various optional components such as water, fragrances, dyes, and preservatives. The detergent formulation demonstrates superior performance in laundry applications by effectively scavenging chlorine in both wash and rinse cycles, protecting fabric dyes, and improving enzyme cleaning efficiency. The composition may be used to clean textiles made of natural, synthetic, or blended materials.

Abstract

A dispensing sub-assembly for dispensing material from a bottle includes a bottle adapter and a spill containment housing. The bottle adapter includes an adapter piece having a top surface defining an air inlet hole and a material dispensing hole. The bottle adapter is configured to secure to the bottle. The spill containment housing defines an adapter opening configured to surround the bottle adapter. The bottle adapter is configured such that pressurized air introduced through the air inlet hole of the bottle adapter causes contents of the bottle to flow out of the bottle adapter through the material dispensing hole. In operation, pressurized fluid is introduced through the air inlet hole to cause material arranged in the bottle to exit through the material dispensing hole.

Abstract

A method of debonding a first substrate from a second substrate, wherein the first substrate is bonded to the second substrate by the cure product of a cationically curable composition, the cationically curable composition comprising: (a) an epoxy component; (b) a cationic polymerization initiator; and (c) expandable microspheres, wherein the expandable microspheres contains an expanding agent which expands under application of heat and in turn causes the microspheres to expand, the method comprising the step of: subjecting the cure product to heat to thermally expand the microspheres, so that the thermal expansion of the microspheres reduces the tensile strength of the bond formed by the cure product by at least 50% thus causing at least partial debonding of the first substrate relative to the second substrate.

Abstract

A manual dispensing device for dispensing material from a bottle. In particular, for dispensing adhesive from small cyanoacrylate bottles. The device compresses the bottle with the pull or actuation of a trigger to dispense the material from the bottle. The actuation of the trigger causes compression of the bottle without the device coming into contact with the material being dispensed from the bottle. The bottle can be inserted into the device without removing the cap from the bottle. The cap can be removed from the bottle after being loaded into the device.

Abstract

The present invention provides a security tape or security label comprising a substrate and a UV curable hot melt pressure sensitive adhesive (HMPSA), wherein the HMPSA comprises: 1) a UV-curable acrylic polymer that is a reaction product of a reaction composition comprising one or more acrylic monomers and one or more photoinitiators, and 2) optionally one or more additional ingredients, wherein said acrylic polymer is crosslinkable through said photoinitiator groups upon exposure to ultraviolet light.

Abstract

A method for washing textiles in a washing machine is described. A washing machine is provided with a wash program that includes a main wash cycle having a duration tw. Textiles are introduced into a laundry treatment chamber of the washing machine. An aqueous liquor is introduced into the laundry treatment chamber of the washing machine. A first detergent composition including at least one surfactant is introduced into the laundry treatment chamber of the washing machine at a point in time of from 0 to 10% of the duration tw. A second detergent composition including peroxycarboxylic acid and a second surfactant into the aqueous liquor at a point in time of from 11 to 99% of the duration tw.
